This is honestly why I stopped using Tumblr. I'm going to break this down into two parts:
1) Where in the hell are you seeing that he was just existing? Yes he was shot, but the dude was shooting at an off duty cop. You know what else the forensic report found? He had gun residue on his hands and clothes. It's not alleged that he shot at the off duty cop. He did shoot.
2) Only he and Michael Brown, who more recent autopsies have shown went for the officer's gun, have been shot.
What's going on with the way the officers are handling the protesters, the media, and the military grade gear in which they (and many other police institutions around the country) are equipped with is the issue. It's without a doubt a reason for everyone to be upset, and to demand change. However, it's important to know the difference between what the real issue is and the real change that is needed and what certain people are falsely presenting it as.

Feminism is talked over when people often refer to them as "man haters" or that their struggle is invalid due to examples like shirts saying "Training to be Batman's Wife" teach boys to materialize women. The reality is that feminism is a good and real thing that strives to balance an unequal gender role in numerous societies in today's world.
Now, translate that same struggle for seeking validation by a mass majority to let's say, republicans. There are of course the Tea Party Republicans who resemble the man hating feminists, and the less intelligent ones that embody those people who struggle with the concept of what the movement/party represents. Republicans, despite the typical incompetent picture that is currently representing them, are not all as stupid as the public is more and more starting to perceive them as. There are candidates coming about in the primaries like Ben Carson (world class neurosurgeon who was raised in Detroit and managed to become as successful and ground breaking as he is today) who embody more than the other public images what a Republican stands for.
Don't let the stupidity of subgroups become the representation of the group as a whole.

In all seriousness, voting is essential in shaping the way our country develops, so go take the time and get signed up. If you're too lazy to find the forms, just click any part of this post and it'll take you to a website that'll ask you questions to fill out the form, and all you'll have to do is print and mail it.
Don't just vote for the president though, get involved in the primary elections to help determine who even gets to run for it. Educate yourself, do your best to understand where ALL candidates from BOTH major parties stand, and do what you think is the best to better the country, no matter what anyone says about it.
Get involved, be active, and help to reshape the country you live in.
