i saw this post someone wrote about max jagerman secretly liking abba, but he keeps it hidden because it’s not traditionally masculine. HOWEVER. i would like to add that i could totally see max outwardly loving abba. like he walks down the hatchetfield high hallway without headphones, just blasting abba. NO ONE is allowed to sing along. one time, he called into a radio station and dedicated ‘take a chance on me’ to grace. she did not hear it. grace only listens to her church’s AM radio station. max got his friends hooked on abba too. when mamma mia comes to town, the entire hatchetfield high football team is in the first row. when the lights dim, and the abba overture starts, you just hear a bunch of high school jocks start screaming, “LET’S GO!!!”
