With it being that time of year I just wanted to say that you are not obligated to knit/crochet handcraft any item for anyone if they are going to give you grief over it or have given you grief for it in the past. It is okay to say no and it is okay to say nothing. It is okay to not make gifts for anyone when you know it’s not going to be appreciated.
Create things for yourself, create to be happy. You don’t need anyone’s permission to do so.
This is very important.
Any knitting pattern is a beginner pattern if you’re willing enough to sit there and fucking suffer.
It took me 8 years to get to the point where I can write crochet patterns for other people to follow. This particular dragon pattern took me five months to design, and now that the pattern has been published, I can’t wait to see what new dragons are born into this world because of it!

The sky is blue whether you believe it or not. The Bible is true whether you believe it or not.
The sky is actually black. You specifically perceive it as blue and a colorblind person may perceive it as orange or grey. A mantis shrimp sees it as colors that you cant even comprehend.
