I’m so confident they get together in college and I’m content with that. Hopper gave Mike that big speech about moving on And he wrote his own ending for El to cope with the idea of losing her. Now he’s free and is looking at Will longingly realizing he can move on. I’d like to think Will going off to NY and Mike being left alone again will send him back into the spiral he was in between 3 and 4 where he started to question his feelings for Will. I think Will will come back to visit Mike for spring break and start telling him about his time in NY and this boy he’s talking to and Mike will realize he’s jealous and all of his feelings for those 5 years will finally make sense to him. I think they’ll kiss in Mikes basement and start dating after that.
