Not to make this repetitive or start a fight, i think 2 things can be true, like it's true that european and south americans teams historically have been the most successful and it's not like they cannot be celebrating that like i know if it was the USA with that kind of success they would never be shutting up about being the "kings of soccer" or some shit but sometimes when both feds speak about it, even without meaning it, they can come across as arrogant. I actually have always encountered absolute love from both europeans and south americans, that anon is right that they tend to root for us (but i've seen some putting down asian teams, with the exception of Japan and South Korea, on another hand) but saying things like "The World Cup is just some Euro teams + Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay" is seen as demeaning because even though we know that at the end of day even if that outcome is the most likely we are also allowed to dream and try to achieve our best. Who knows, maybe in the most near future we can join that hall of fame too, like last WC Morocco already has reached the semis it's not that far fetched that could happen! Plus sometimes, even if you guys don't intend for it, some comments can even come across as racist. Respect goes both ways, we can respect your history in the sport but you guys should also give respect to the "smaller" teams that are trying too. At the end of day everyone was a "small" team at a certain point until they hit big, Spain being the most recent example, they didn't exist since 2008. Anyways all love and peace guys, those stupid figure heads do not represent the average guy of any country and i know it, at the end of day all of these guys are just money hungry tools be it from FIFA, UEFA, CAN, CONMEBOL, CONCAF, CAF or OFC. I'm still rooting for CAF and other smaller nations just because they still haven't won it and it would be amazing if they did but it's all good if in the end it's UEFA and CONMEBOL again. Let's not fight, it's already bad in the real world, at least let's all enjoy football.

From a south american point of view, we just retaliate when people belittle us and for some reason the ones who belittle us are mostly african and asian confederations fans because they are made about our number of slots. So you get the Latam experience which can be nasty because we are a proud bunch. Football is religion here and it's the only sport we excel at and are always contenders at so of course we get protective. We also always are wishing for euro teams to fail because we are directly competing with them in the all time rankings but ironically from all feds it's the europeans who usually always respects us and maybe that's why a lot of times you can see south americans and europeans joining up when there are criticism.

Some of the reactions from European/American fans towards African teams has been really ignorant tbh. It’s so bad that I’m seeing the African fans already start uniting which almost never happens this early in the World Cup.

as a german i see the disrespect of other confederations a lot from europeans who aren't super into international football, they assume every national team has stayed static at the level it was 20 years ago. like i was telling my friend that i was quite pessimistic about us (germany) potentially finishing 3rd in our group and she was like "i know were bad right now but its still good enough to win that group!"
