Goblin King (Watercolor with progress)
I’ve been feeling very nostalgic of late, so I picked one of my favourite childhood movies to do a fanart of. :) tbh still can’t decide whether i like his hair or not. :PÂ
For the progress: (1) The sketch with blue masking fluid applied (I used Schmincke brand) (2) Wash of colors just using 3 colors (Daniel Smith watercolors) - Carbazole Violet, Ultramarine Blue, and Fuchsite Geunine (that lovely turquios color that shines and shimmers slightly) (3) Adding yellow and teeeny bit of red, and removed masking. Â
For the final version, i added some Quinacridone Rose, and some Finetec gold paints for hair and speckles on his outfit. :) It is indeed very shiny picture, and i am so sad it doesn’t show up in the scansÂ
Anyway, so here it is.. i really had a lot of fun with this piece, and i hope you enjoy :)Â
