Basiloterus husseini
Dinovember 2025 Day 2
Not a dinosaur, not even a marine reptile, but a cetacean. Marine reptile remains are rare in Asia (except for China of course) , but plenty of archaic cetaceans. This one's a very close relative of the more famous Basilosaurus, but it's only known from fragmentary remains (two incomplete vertebra).
"Fragmentary remains" will be a recurring theme this Dinovember.
