Moments with Nullgrim are quiet when you both are alone. Beneath all that banter and stand offish behavior, you have a very soft Nullgrim. He very much won’t admit it, but he shows it when it’s just you two.

Spending time with Nullgrim would consist of reading sessions (mostly him reading and you annoying him), going out for mundane errands, and/or just merely existing near each other.

Nullgrim would show his love in a silent way. Do you need anything? He has it covered. Want to play a favorite game of yours? He’s already learning it as you speak. Do you want to rant? He’s always listening. It might not be grand, but it’s in his own way, and you could never ask for anything more. Just don’t point it out, or else he’ll get embarrassed.

Ever since defeating the cult and now living with Nullgrim, he’s been more affectionate in his own way. That day, when you were battered after defeating Mina, he’s never been so outwardly protective than ever. And you never fail to remind him always, just to see his flustered reaction.

“...It’s cold,” You shivered, your breath turning to white puffs in the winter. Snowflakes rained down, the chilling breeze brushing your skin. You regret not wearing more layers in this weather…

“Did you seriously forget to wear a sweater?” Nullgrim turned around to you, seeing your arms wrapped around your frame. He sighs, before he takes his own sweater off and hands it to you. “Wear it. Or I might just take it back.”

Your eyes widen a bit, seeing that the sweater was practically pushed onto your hands. “Are you sure..? Won’t you get a cold?”

“I’m much more resilient than you.” You rolled your eyes at his response, seeing his ego was still there. As you wore his sweater, his eyes lingered. It looked baggy on you, and definitely… looked better on you.

His sweater definitely smelled like him; mixed with the scent of old paper and coffee. But… it brought you more warmth than a comfy blanket would. Your gaze eventually led up to Nullgrim’s face; he looked so… content.

and then, you load into the lobby to just see all the phighters on your screen—a little silly thing happens and theyre all like “go do your homework, kid.” like LITERALLY forcing your game to stop teleporting to the other servers. of course, the game is left open for them to see youre actually doing your homework. (but you know they come from a good place.)

you would rant about everything what happened at school; your crushes, incidents, all that! i feel like while most phighters are not good at comforting words, they make it up with listening, like hyperlaser. maybe phighters like coil, rocket (maybee? i guess he’s close to reader by now) scythe, and ban hammer would tease you about your crushes or whatever was embarrassed.

I feel like all of their reactions are funny whenever you especially if it’s gossip—jaws dropped, many questions asked, and mortified ones. it makes you cackle every time! teenages scare the shit out of them now. 

other phighters show how they care is by looking after you—say that you’re playing for almost about five hours, they might pop up and tell you to take a break; shimeji style, like i said in my last post. i think phighters like medkit, katana, vinestaff, boombox, shuriken and skateboard.

i feel like for specifically biograft, it can serve as your personal reminder list, alarm, or anything. subspace really urged you to use it, says that it’s more useful and efficient than your human-made ones. (it’s true. tried and tested by you yourself.)

speaking of shimeji phighters, i feel like they would find a way to get into your phone (if you’d let them). maybe by having the roblox app on your phone, or some cryptic way you don’t know. there’s a limit to how many can fit on your phone, so they take turns to see the human world through your phone. 

sword would want to see everything—your school, hangout spots, everywhere! he’d get very curious about the places in the human world, but you can only go far (strict parents am i right.)

slingshot would revel when he saw the food in your world—when you go to cafes after school and show him the pastries, he would ask all about it; he would also want to get the recipe and try it out for his own cafe!

subspace would want to see your lessons—he would probably listen in to the teacher’s lectures, some other phighter would try to shut him up for you to not get caught (because for some reason, whenever subspace speaks, the volume level of your phone raises. you try not to bring subspace out as often now.) 

but all in all, you’re really grateful for them. 

because of that also, they see your usual (bad) habits eg, staying up late for an assignment, doing a project, in a vc with friends. it wasn't long until they found out the source of the yelling in the back of their head (aka you screaming in vc and raging in phighting)

if they find a way to explore your computer/laptop out of the game, they'll appear like those shimejis; cute little things you can interact with! although, you still haven't noticed them (because theyre hiding 👀)

i imagine subspace and medkit looking at your courseware to look at the academic material you've been studying on—their minds can't get enough on information! while others like sword and rocket get curious and look around the computer. maybe others like coil will snoop around on the internet. better hope they won't find your messages to your friends gushing about your favorite characters...

speaking of favorites, i'm not sure if the phighters will get an ego rush when they're your favorite (i know subspace will.) or others will be proud, or bashful/flustered. maybe they'll be like "ouhh!! i'm their favorite blehehhs!!!" my mind is lowkey not working rn.
