۪ ׂ ˖ BAN HAMMER

— It might be assumed that Ban Hammer wouldn't get jealous because he's convinced he's the greatest, but he's actually one of the most jealous Inphernals to have ever been spawned.

— The reason he gets so jealousy is because you deserve the best, and that's what he is—the best. Anyone who lays eyes on you should know that you deserve nothing less than great, and the only Inphernal who fits that description is him.

— So why is it that these puny Inphernals were trying to flirt with you? Obviously, they weren't worthy to even look in your direction, so why would they even bother!

— The thing about Ban Hammer's jealousy is that he, surprisingly, isn't confrontational about it.

— He's just...pouty.

— He'll have his blindfold lifted while his shooting daggers at whoever is flirting with you, but he won't approach them.

— While you're informing the stranger of your relationship, you can imagine their surprise when they ask who and you point at Ban Hammer—a tall, muscular Inphernal who looks like he's about to kill them.

— In reality, the most Ban Hammer would do is try to get them arrested for like, bux fraud or something like that...

— As soon as the stranger leaves—which they do because of Ban Hammer's glare—you'll approach him and immediately get pulled into his arms.

— He'd grumble something about how pathetic the stranger was, and that they shouldn't even have looked in your direction.

— You're both going home after that, and he'd probably cuddle you.

۪ ׂ ˖ BOOMBOX

— With Boombox, his jealousy really depends.

— If they stop flirting after you tell them you're in a relationship, he's fine! Flirting is bound to happen—especially with someone as amazing as you—so as long as they respect you and back off after being informed of your relationship, it's all good!

— But then you have those who don't have any respect whatsoever.

— The people he's talking about are the ones who ignore the fact you're in a relationship and keep trying to flirt anyway, or worse—the ones who try to get close and touchy.

— For the ones who just simply keep flirting, he won't intervene unless you look at him for help. And by intervene I mean he won't approach them.

— He will get his boombox, though, and blast your favorite song really loud until the stranger leaves.

— For the touchy and close ones, though, he will walk over and make sure to put himself between you and the stranger.

— He doesn't care how close the stranger is—he's slotting himself in between just so the stranger steps back, and Boombox will give them a smile.

"I think you should leave!"

— Despite his smile, his words would have a tone that didn't leave the idea up to debate, and the stranger would just scoff before leaving.

— He would then face you before asking if hearing your favorite song made you happy.

— The right answer is "yes" with a kiss.

۪ ׂ ˖ COIL

— Coil takes nothing seriously, and the topic of jealousy is no exception.

— To him, he doesn't have to worry about other people because they're not him.

— Coil is surprised that even he was able to date you, and he's practically the best of the best—so if anyone thinks they have a chance with you, they're dead wrong.

— But some Inphernals don't know how to pick that up.

— Anytime someone flirts with you or hints any interest, Coil is more amused by it rather than jealous.

— He just finds it funny how someone like them thinks they have a chance with someone like you.

— He usually just sits back and watches the person embarrass themselves as they keep flirting until you tell them you're taken, and whenever they ask by who and you point at him? He'll have the cockiest smirk on his face before shooting them a wink.

— But again, some Inphernals can't take a hint.

— Coil only gets slightly irritated whenever they don't give up on flirting with you. Even when it's obvious you're not interested, they'd keep pushing, and so he'd whip out a tactic that always worked.

— He'd kiss you.

— He'd walk over to you with his hands in his pockets, and when you'd turn your head to greet him, he'd press his lips against yours.

— It wouldn't be a simple peck, either. He'd keep the kiss going until he could feel the stranger's eyes waver out of awkwardness,

— When Coil would pull away, he'd lean back and look at the stranger before raising an eyebrow.

"You need something?"

— He'd snicker once the stranger shook their head and quickly walked away, and when he looked back at you, he'd lowly hum once he noticed your flustered expression.

"You look a bit red, sweetheart...Do you need something?" "I need you to stop kissing me every time you get jealous." "We both know that's not what you want."

— You'd just turn on your heel to walk away while Coil smirked and followed behind you.

۪ ׂ ˖ HYPER LASER

— He wouldn't be the type to get jealous, but instead just worried that you'd leave him.

— He's had a lot happen to him, so he wouldn't blame you if you decided you wanted to be with someone else—which is why he falls silent whenever someone flirts with you. He doesn't know what to say, so he just keeps to himself while trying to distance himself from the conversation happening.

— But then you'd tell the stranger that you're in a relationship, and suddenly he's beside you with his hand in yours staring at them until they leave.

— He still doesn't talk, though. He just hides his face in your neck until he's ready to admit how he was a bit jealous.

۪ ׂ ˖ MEDKIT

— Medkit doesn't get jealous.

— Because one, he trusts you and two, he's exhausted. Flirting is a part of life and as long as they're respectful after you tell them you're in a loving relationship, then it's fine.

— Even when people keep being pushy with flirting with you, though, he still doesn't say anything.

— That's really just because he doesn't have too, though.

— If he notices someone flirting with you and you seem like you wanna leave, he'll go up behind you and place his hands on your waist while looking at the stranger.

— He'd just stare at them.

— Not even intimidatingly—well, not on purpose.

— Due to his exhaustion, his face is always almost stuck in an expression that would make anyone believe that he was mad, even when he wasn't.

— As soon as the stranger stammered and waves goodbye, Medkit would raise an eyebrow before leaning forward to meet your eyes.

"...What was up with them?" "You intimidated them." "How so?"

— He's completely oblivious to his resting face, but the stranger didn't need to know that.

۪ ׂ ˖ ROCKET

— With how protective Rocket is, he gets extremely jealous.

— And he's confrontational so you're in for a ride whenever he gets jealous.

— Now, whenever someone first starts flirting with you, he probably won't say anything at first. He'll just look at them with a frown until you tell them you're in a relationship, and how everything goes depends on what the stranger does.

— If they apologize and leave? Rocket is fine.

— If they keep flirting? He explodes, and he might do so literally nobody calms him down.

"Didn't you just hear the word 'relationship'? That means not single, so why don't you just leave and never show your ugly face—"

— He will go on until the person leaves or until you drag him away.

— He would apologize to you for getting angered, but he wouldn't even consider apologizing to the stranger because he doesn't care about them. He only cares about you.

۪ ׂ ˖ SKATEBOARD

— Considering how laid-back Skateboard is, it's unlikely that he gets jealous.

— He understands that other people are going to be interested in you because, well, it's you—you're someone who can make him breathless with just a glance, so it's not like it's shocking others might feel the same way.

— Along with that, he also understands you. He knows that you're loyal, so any time someone tries to flirt with you, you're quick to inform them of your relationship.

— Now, to repeat, it's unlikely that he gets jealous.

— That doesn't mean he never gets jealous.

— The only times he usually gets jealous is whenever someone gets close to you. If they're talking to you with some distance? Sure, that's fine—he won't step in unless you look uncomfortable or glance at him asking for help. Maybe you're both just having a nice conversation.

— But when they're close enough to where if they took a step forward the tip of their shoes would touch yours? Too close.

— He typically just examines the situation just in case the person decides to step back, but if he notices that they're not giving you space, he's walking over.

— Not to you, by the way. He's walking over to the stranger.

— He'd throw an arm around their shoulder with a smile, and his gaze would flicker from you to the person before he spoke.

"Hey! What're we talkin' about?"

— Obviously, the person would be confused and try to pull back, but Skateboard would firmly press down on their shoulder to make them stay before looking at you.

— He'd question if you knew the person—even though he already knew the answer—but as soon as you confirmed, he'd lift his hands up and walk towards you while "apologizing."

"My bad, stranger! I just assumed you both knew each other with how close you were gettin'!"

— Skateboard would then wrap an arm around your waist, and he'd pull you against him while eyeing the stranger.

— To most, it wouldn't look like he was jealous, for he would just have a lazy smirk on his face.

— But if you look close enough, you'll notice the way his eyes are slightly narrowed, and how he looks the person up and down before his smirk grows.

— Due to the silence, the stranger would stammer out a "sorry" and wave before leaving, and as soon as they're out of Skateboard's sight, the Inphernal would look back at you with a wide grin.

"Wanna get lunch?"

— Unless you bring it up, he likely won't talk about the stranger because now that they're gone, he doesn't really care.

— The only thing his mind is on is you and getting something to eat.

— He would stick a bit closer to you than usual, though.

۪ ׂ ˖ VINE STAFF

— While she would get a bit jealous, it's more out of her own insecurity.

— She isn't very confident with her words whenever she talks to you—let alone anyone else. Due to the fact she lived alone for a while, she always wonders why you chose her, for she's aware that she's awkward. Her attempts at flirting aren't—what was the description used—smooth?

— Given that, she often worries that you'll leave her for someone else who can actually charm you. She worries you'll leave her for someone who doesn't have to pause to question if what they're about to say is odd or not.

— But despite her jealousy, she doesn't really show it.

— Whenever someone flirts with you, she'll usually just ignore it while making sure that you're alright. Despite her time away from other Inphernals, she does know how persistent they can be.

— If they were to leave you alone after you told them you were happily in a relationship—even gesturing to Vine Staff while saying it—then she'd be alright.

— She likely would admit her jealousy if you were to ask if she was alright, but she wouldn't go into detail, for she'd be too flustered by how you suddenly pointed at her while talking to the stranger.

— Now, if the stranger were to continue flirting with you despite your obvious discomfort, that's when she would get herself involved.

— She would walk up beside you and stare at the stranger, and she'd give them a slight smile that was too tense in the corners to be genuine.

"I believe it was made known that we are in a relationship. I do not appreciate your flirtation."

— No matter what the stranger would say, she'd remain firm and wait for them to finally leave before gently taking your hand in hers.

— She'd ask if you were alright, and she'd offer to take you back to her apartment so you can relax if you wanted.

۪ ׂ ˖ ZUKA

— While Zuka claims he doesn't get jealous because he has no reason to be jealous, he can and does get jealous.

— Of course, not easily.

— Like a lot of the other Inphernals, he doesn't really mind whenever someone flirts with you as long as they quit as soon as you tell them you're in a relationship.

— He gets it—you're a catch—but what he does mind is whenever someone won't leave you alone. Zuka likes his peace and he knows you do too, so he'll do whatever he can to make sure you have your peace.

— He'd probably just observe until he found the right moment to step in, but does he talk to the stranger?

— No, he just wraps his arm around your waist and keeps walking so you're forced to follow him.

— If the stranger does try to talk to him, he'll ignore them unless they come up and grab his shoulder.

— That's when he removes his arm from your waist and punches them square in the nose.

"Either you're really bold or stupid, but I'm pretty sure it's clear that nobody wants anything to do with you. Back off."

— As soon as you both walk away, Zuka would slightly smirk to himself as you talked about the stranger and how he had hit them in the nose.

Sword

-Thinks they're so interesting, asks you a hundred questions about them. Is it because of your gear? Do you have any family with similar horns? Are they more sensitive? Less?

-You might not be able to really answer all of them but it's worth it if only because of how he looks at them with such reverence. Is always super gentle if you let him touch them at all.

Skateboard

-Thinks they're sick as hell. Also asks a bunch of questions, he's curious! He's never seen anyone like you before. He's a lot more anxious to try skating with you because of them, actually. While he obviously wouldn't want you to get hurt, crystal horns or not, he's hovers a lot more whenever you step onto a board. Has his hands up and ready to catch you at any second.

-Likes feeling them a lot, if they happen to be a little sharp / rocky it makes him feel a little softer. They remind him of how bumpy and cracked his own horns are from falling and fighting so much.

Biograft (platonic)

-It's ... a peculiar sight. They don't have anything in their databases about this sort of thing. They're less likely to ask you questions and more likely to just inspect them themselves whenever they get a chance.

-You end up learning a little yourself! Mostly because they go through the effort of trying to identify exactly what minerals your horns are derived from. It's honestly pretty fun all around.

Ban Hammer

-Another admirer, he spends a lot of time just looking at them. He's not super familiar with gemstones and identifying them, so he can't help out much there, but he can definitely tell you they're gorgeous. Which he does, frequently.

-Honestly a little convinced you're related to some other branch of deities he's never heard of. Jokingly interrogates you about it but he's got an eye on you .. (kidding. mostly.)

Katana

-Yeah no shocker here he adores them. Guy who retreated into the region that loves its nature the most after a life of pain yeah no he's normal, for sure. Jokes aside, he really does love admiring them.

-Loves running his fingers over the grooves of them and seeing how light reflects off of them, how he can just barely make out the sky or blossoming trees behind you through them.

Rocket

-A little freaked out over it at first because how? If it's related to your gear in some way, he's more inclined to brush it off but otherwise, he's just kind of baffled. Are they prosthetics? Are you related to a deity? Is it a curse?

-He keeps his questions to himself unless you catch him eying them up. It's a pretty nice way for you to get some time together, him asking questions you may or may not be able to answer while he carefully looks them over.

Slingshot

-Another who keeps his questions to himself. Was a little at a loss for words when you first walked into the cafe. If you're a regular and make some small talk with him, there's a good chance he'll say a hundred 'don't take this the wrong way, i'm sorry if im not supposed to ask' before he tries asking any questions.

-Thinks they're very pretty and very interesting. The way they twinkle in the lights of the cafe or reflect the sunset through a window at his apartment is unbeatable.

Hyperlaser

-Also wonders if they're prosthetics of any kind. Another who's particularly careful with them. He knows firsthand how much it sucks to lose a horn, the last thing he wants is for you to trip and have them completely shatter on you.

-May be a little more defensive of you as a result. He's already naturally pretty protective of a partner, your situation just makes it doubly so.

Scythe

-Well, aren't you just a sight for sore eyes? She might've had less than pure intentions when she first approached you at that bar, but what you don't know can't hurt you, can it?

-Another who spends a lot of time looking. Rest assured, she'll make sure you have a wardrobe fit for a god, all complimentary colors and headpieces made to emphasize them. You're a catch, a one in a million, and she'll make sure everyone knows it and that you're hers. Can't have anyone else getting any ideas.

Medkit

-Convinced its a curse at first. While he's never seen someone with crystal horns before, he's seen a few inphernals with horns affected by their gears and figures you might be in a similar situation.

-Regardless if you are or not, he keeps a close eye on them. While some crystals certainly take a good amount of pressure before they start to crack, who's to say your horns are made of that kind of mineral? Expect a lot of him inspecting and feeling them at night, it becomes a part of your guys' routine pretty quickly.

Boombox

-Loves, loves, loves them. Thinks they're absolutely gorgeous. Loves whenever you show up to his shows especially, all the lights look even better with your horns reflecting them.

-Incorporates a little bit more of crystals in his attire, he doesn't go overboard with it (he's got bills to pay, unfortunately ...) but there's just enough that people notice the change. He's more than happy to explain he's just representing his partner, should any interviewer ask.

Subspace

-Sorry you're about to be so annoyed. He messes with them constantly, running little tests to see what you do and don't react to. He'll tap or brush them then ask if you can feel it- You don't have any blood vessels in there, it's a fair question! Always quick to explain that he's just looking because it might help with some of his research, that's all. Don't take the special attention to mean anything. (It does)

-Another one who gets a little more defensive, especially if they happen to not be as durable. He's already withering away from his own condition, the last thing he needs is for your horns to erode from a little rain and end up getting you sick or worse. It's a good thing he's done work in synthesizing some kind of crystal, isn't it?..

Vine Staff

-Yeah she thinks you're cursed but like, it's her of all people. Have some mercy. Regardless of if you are or not, she's very very careful around you and keeps a close eye on you just to be safe. She doesn't ask many questions, but that doesn't mean she doesn't care or like them!

-She does think they're very pretty. If you're comfortable with it, she would definitely twine some flowers or ribbons around them. She likes the way they're reflected in the crystals and how the decoration ties you two together in a way.

Coil

-Another one who's a little suspicious, has plenty of questions to ask you about them. Were you born with them? Are they because of your gear? Did someone make them for you?

How did you get here?

One moment you just finished your last year college project and decided to go out for a walk for some fresh air and... what were you doing before ending up here?

No, you're not dreaming, you believe so. If countlessly slapping yourself on the face and pinching your skin as hard as you can could be any indicator, you do register the pain.

Perhaps it's not enough, because you're seeing people littered the street adorned with colourful horns in different shapes and sizes — they're not human that for sure, their physical appearance is way bigger than average human's build and their skin color range from paper white to inky black. in the contrary they look like those children's drawings of how they would depict a cartoon demon character.

You stumbled backwards as you see one of them walk towards the alleway you're in, hurriedly you hide near nearby dumpster, hoping it'll not see you by any means.

There's sound of footsteps and shuffling of plastic before a metal panel being opened and then shut closed, what you could assume they're throwing away their trash, you can't help but groan at the awful smell for a while but decided it best to keep it quiet until they leave, you take a little peek behind your hiding place and watch as the figure leaves and start walking down the street and their figure disappear.

"Okay..." You need to consider your current predicament,

One, you're not dreaming. That you had confirmed, and you try to slit yourself a tiny bit with supposed nearby broken glass again for extra measurements, watching the trickling of red liquid travel across your palm from the small cut, you're still here and you feel the pain, you're very much wide awake.

You rubbed your bleeding hand lightly to your clothes, lightly winced of the familiar sting from the open wound, thankfully it'll probably need couple of hours to heal or a day since you only did a small cut on your open palm.

Two, there's these demon-like creatures roaming around the street, you can't understand any words they utter no matter how hard you try to understand them; it's all sounds gibberish in your ears.

Three…, your stomach suddenly grumbles embarrassingly, you can't help but wince at the horrid noises it made, you have forgotten to eat again when you were so focused on doing your project before, you hadn't properly taken care of yourself and your body in general. Now you're in a very unknown place, filled with humanoid-like creatures as its civilians, and a very hungry stomach and a desire to at least put something in your mouth to chew and swallow.

There are not many options to get foods around here as it looks like you're in a city area with lack of greenery or forest, you could try rummaging through the trash maybe… No, too dirty and there's a big possibility of sudden sickness, that and the fact you have no access to medical treatment in this unknown place if you do get sick, you're just planning your early demise doing so.

"......?"

The familiar gibberish noises makes your heart drop to the pit of your stomach, your head whipped around to the owner of the voice and given the sudden desire to jump, two of those horned creatures staring directly at you figure, one using an attire resembling a warrior with red horns, while their friend has fancy robotics limb and blue visor in the same color of their twin horns. Large black pupils staring at your smaller figure almost intensely.

Hey, there's this thing about possible alien abduction since you're pretty much very alien to them with the way they're staring at you. You could be captured, strapped to the calibration table, and dissected by curious scientists who want to study your anatomy or even worse possibly being kept as a cute little pet and stripped away from your autonomy.

You should run right? You definitely should run; you're cornered to the wall but there's an opening nearby and an empty looking street ahead. You should run, now. Your body should move or this will be the end of your life.

The two demon-like creatures finally break eye contact from you and talk to one another, glancing towards you once a while, possibly talking about their next action. One of them sighed and the other smiled, the red horned one, returns their attention to you and you can't help but flinch.

You should run. Why are you not moving. Your heart hammer loudly in your chest, static noises slowly filling your ears in internal panic.

The red horned demon's feet make noises with the aluminium can under their boots, and you immediately bolted, leaving them both in surprise as one of them seems to try and call for you.

Your body filled with fear and adrenaline as you run towards the opening street, the creatures slowly filling the once empty street and you couldn't be careless about bumping to any of them, ignoring the gasps and yelps from the strangers as couple of them got a clear look at you.

You need to run and find somewhere to hide.

Oh man, I didn't expect to finish this in one day??? But I'm glad I did because that mean I have more time to refine the story later, this first chapter literally "fuck it we ball" without proper planning.

and then, you load into the lobby to just see all the phighters on your screen—a little silly thing happens and theyre all like “go do your homework, kid.” like LITERALLY forcing your game to stop teleporting to the other servers. of course, the game is left open for them to see youre actually doing your homework. (but you know they come from a good place.)

you would rant about everything what happened at school; your crushes, incidents, all that! i feel like while most phighters are not good at comforting words, they make it up with listening, like hyperlaser. maybe phighters like coil, rocket (maybee? i guess he’s close to reader by now) scythe, and ban hammer would tease you about your crushes or whatever was embarrassed.

I feel like all of their reactions are funny whenever you especially if it’s gossip—jaws dropped, many questions asked, and mortified ones. it makes you cackle every time! teenages scare the shit out of them now. 

other phighters show how they care is by looking after you—say that you’re playing for almost about five hours, they might pop up and tell you to take a break; shimeji style, like i said in my last post. i think phighters like medkit, katana, vinestaff, boombox, shuriken and skateboard.

i feel like for specifically biograft, it can serve as your personal reminder list, alarm, or anything. subspace really urged you to use it, says that it’s more useful and efficient than your human-made ones. (it’s true. tried and tested by you yourself.)

speaking of shimeji phighters, i feel like they would find a way to get into your phone (if you’d let them). maybe by having the roblox app on your phone, or some cryptic way you don’t know. there’s a limit to how many can fit on your phone, so they take turns to see the human world through your phone. 

sword would want to see everything—your school, hangout spots, everywhere! he’d get very curious about the places in the human world, but you can only go far (strict parents am i right.)

slingshot would revel when he saw the food in your world—when you go to cafes after school and show him the pastries, he would ask all about it; he would also want to get the recipe and try it out for his own cafe!

subspace would want to see your lessons—he would probably listen in to the teacher’s lectures, some other phighter would try to shut him up for you to not get caught (because for some reason, whenever subspace speaks, the volume level of your phone raises. you try not to bring subspace out as often now.) 

but all in all, you’re really grateful for them.

✦ Probably doesn't even realize at first, just takes it as you being especially affectionate ✦ Feels pretty silly when he does realize, very cooperative

✦ SKATEBOARD

✦ "Heyyy at least I get to keep you closer longer, right?" ✦ Tries to highlight the positives so you don't stress out, would help untangle though

✦ KATANA

✦ Very calm, very gentle about untangling & making sure this can be avoided in the future ✦ Offers to cozy up under a blanket with some tea with you afterwards

✦ BAN HAMMER

✦ Definitely teases you about it even though the same would absolutely happen with him if he got too eager ✦ Might just use this as an opportunity to pick you up without actually grabbing you, depends on the day

✦ ROCKET

✦ He's a little irritated, though he does his best to stay calm about it ✦ Still wants to be affectionate

✦ SLINGSHOT

✦ If he has it on hand, you're getting a dollop of frosting right on the nose [endearingly, of course] ✦ Probably getting a kiss too [most certainly if there's no available frosting]

✦ SHURIKEN

✦ He might just try to hold you there for a moment, just to savor the closeness and really let it sink in that its real ✦ Cooperative and gentle about untangling but he get tangled again on purpose just to be close with you

✦ Likely glaring at you through the brim of her hat. She's got a reputation to uphold! If nobody's around though she's a lot more lighthearted about it and might even instruct you on how to fix it ✦ A pat on the shoulder and a reminder to be careful, the tone of how it's spoken depending on the amount of inphernals around to see that happen [from vaguely threatening to endearing]

✦ MEDKIT

✦ He's rather embarrassed, though remains as calm as he can about it until you're untangled ✦ "Be more careful next time." & a kiss on the forehead or cheek

✦ BOOMBOX

✦ Might crack a joke to keep the mood light, even treat the untangling process as a sort of rhythm to follow ✦ You'll likely get wrapped up in a dance before you know it

✦ SUBSPACE

✦ Definitely tried a forceful tug and quickly learned it was a bad idea ✦ You got stuck with taking care of his whiny ass due to the subsequent pain of said tug. He still throws a fit about it but at he least lets you dote on him if met with a few glares

✦ VINE STAFF

✦ Gentle about the untangling process, though she'll likely encourage and/or offer to resume the affections shortly after with more caution ✦ Pays a lot more attention to your horns afterwards, often paying them, and yourself, compliment and praise
