Okay so I might start journaling here... Just because I honestly can't read my own cursive handwriting sometimes - especially when I'm writing half-asleep. I deleted most social media yesterday ( tiktok, Snapchat and Instagram ) and my screen time has gone down so much; what do I do with my time now? I just finished my GSCEs which I worked tirelessly on, and I feel like I should be having a break, but I'm so insanely bored! I want to pick up my reading again, since in September I will be doing A level English lit & lang... But I have no clue where to start. I have a habit of buying so many books at once, then forgetting to read them. I was thinking of staying Sarah J Maas ' throne of glass ' since I do have the first editions barr two of them, which leads to another dilemma. Do I buy the first editions, new covers or on kindle? I'm so unsure of what to do... I really enjoyed her acotar series which makes me eager to start the throne of glass but I'm just so confused on what to do on the missing books and what order to read them in. I heard once you go deep into the series, there's a certain chart you need to follow when reading them which kind of acts like a deterrent in this series for me...

Back to my boredom - I am unbelievably and utterly exhausted from doing the same thing every day. I thought this extended holiday would be so fun but it seems all my good friends are on holidays abroad or still in school. I don't have many friends to begin with, and some still being in school really cuts it down significantly. My family are going to the beach on Saturday, leaving me at home by myself to watch the dogs all day ( I was invited but decided against it since I know I wouldn't enjoy it). I was thinking of inviting my friend round and baking something, but I have no clue on what to bake. There's so many options: cookies, cinnamon rolls, brownies etc. If anyone bakes and has some good recipes could they please comment them below? It would be really appreciated since my knowledge on baking is very limited ( along with any book recommendations for me, preferably fantasy or romanticy although I'm open to reading other genres ).
