This “Bob” guy is actually some werido keeping the Paladins asleep in a dream world, forcing them to play his game.

If they win, they go free. If they lose, they’re stuck there forever. (Classic.)

Meanwhile, Coran, Shiro, Romelle and Krolia are in the real world, trying to find a way to get them out.

It would explain the host’s magic powers, and the fake versions of Zarkon, Haggar, Lotor and Morvok, and why it looks like the Paladins are stuck on those gold disk things:

Plus, the guys are clearly NOT enjoying themselves. They don’t want to be here.

They’re on a very important mission to get back to Earth ASAP. They wouldn’t just go “Hey, this looks fun! Let’s take a break from our journey and do this completely dumb thing!”

And yet, they seem pretty desperate to win.

Probably because winning is the only way to escape.

Episode 1 of Season 7 has connected a lot of things from previous seasons for me, has shed a lot of light over Shiro & Keith’s characters as well as their dynamic & what it could possibly mean for the future of their relationship, & I’m more than thrilled about where it’s all leading. ::SPOILERS AHEAD:::

~Keith’s protective streak over Shiro~

Since the first seasons, Keith being particularly observant over Shiro’s well-being always peaked at me. Despite Shiro being the oldest/most experienced of the bunch, Keith always came across as someone who saw Shiro as a person rather than “the leader guy” everyone defaulted him to be. But I couldn’t explain why. I thought Keith was just being considerate over Shiro’s recent war trauma, but it turns out that it went deeper than that.
