I’m having a really hard time articulating which is frustrating but phm felt SO queer to me. And i don’t mean queer like “lol gay alien” i mean queer in the very nature of the story. Queer as in i think a lot of us can relate to at least some point in grace’s story and queer as in love that goes so strongly beyond words we use to label it. I’ve seen a few people have an aroace read on grace and i can totally see that but most of what i see in him is just. Queer. In a way that’s hard if not impossible to label but is there. I see it in his story, his relationships, how people view him, how the world treats him, and then how the UNIVERSE treats him. Being rejected by a world you love because you have no living family or partner and therefore you’re “expendable.” Finding community afterwards with people who care for you the way you deserve. Love with someone in a way that is definitely not romantic but is so, so much more than a friendship. I see it in his gender identity too, though that’s more vibes i just inherently see him as nonbinary in some way i cannot think of him as a cis man. I think grace is a very easy character to see yourself in as a queer person no matter what kind of queer you are. I don’t know if any kind of queer read on him was intentional but it’s beautiful to me

I never got over anything. I miss everyone and everything. nostalgia and grief kill me every day. oh and I also love going on walks.
