The fact that everything about the framing of MCU Peterās identity reveal directly sabotages the core conceit of Spider-Man in a really egregious way is something people have already put better than I ever could but oh my god is the MCUās habit of acting like angst or suffering given to their Spider-Man is immediately equivalent to character development or even just equivalent to being interesting made all the worse by the fact they chose to make Jameson, the primary and most well-known critic of Spider-Man in the setting of the character, into an Alex Jones type, therefore equating criticism or negative press towards a white cishet male character to far right conspiracies that almost always only target minorities or those who try to defend minorities. I canāt be crazy for thinking that doing so is in really poor taste.
