Lucius looked up as someone burst out of the building, pausing at the mouth of the alley. Frankly he wasn’t surprised by the sight in front of him – people were often bursting from buildings like they were on fire, and as long as they weren’t actually on fire, it rarely caused him to blink anymore. “Ah, yes,” he said in his mild, modulated tone. “This is a shortcut to my workplace.” He nodded down the length of the alley, where the GCPD was just visible. He paused. “Are you alright?” he said. It seemed that she was just fine but he still felt compelled to ask.

Nodding her head, Natasha brushed the dust and dirt off her clothes. “Oh? Where do you work?” she asked, deciding to make polite conversation. Most of the time she liked to observe and give her input when necessary, but this man had just watched her smash a chair with one move and burst out of a warehouse. “I’m fine,” she replied, stretching her arms above her head, then rubbing her wrists. “I was kidnapped, but they didn’t know that I know martial arts.” She knew a lot more than that. “Joke is on them, right? I’m quickly learning that this city is just... full of dangers.”
