Several months passed, Gabe never saw Mikhail again. Last he remembered he assisted the Golden Gods in a dangerous rescue assignment, but after that, it's almost as if he vanished without a trace.

Was he a ghost this whole time?

Was he a spirit given a task to help Gabe find the love within his heart? Did he succeed?

Did he earn his forgiveness in the end?

Gabe sat on a cliff overlooking Golden City the shine of the skyscrapers becoming a beacon. Tonight he was not there to party with the bros or clean the kennels (someone else can handle it for one night), he was there to honor the memory of the love they shared. In Gabe's mind, Mikhail succeeded, they were the best days of his life. He attributed his pep, his drive, his will, every aspect of Gabe Gold changed in Mikhails presence for the good.

Gabe smiled faintly laying back against the grassy knoll of the cliff feeling the wind bring the scent of cherry blossoms in his face. Japanese culture speaks of cherry blossoms symbolizing a new beginning, maybe this was a sign. He felt the cherry blossom petal hit his face a faint smile on his face as Gabe closed his eyes and began to replay the memories in his mind, like a movie.

Gabe smiles his hand on his heart as he began to sob the image of Mikhail's warm smile beginning to fade into the sea of memories, where Gabe would keep them. This was truly the last time he ever saw him but he knew if he got to see Mikhail again, even for a passing second, they would embrace warmly while Gabe whispers a solemn, yet tearful departure:

Gabe opens his eyes wiping the tears away as he stands to his feet taking a deep breath as he sees the living and breathing Golden City in all its splendor Gabe begins to mutter to the Heavens, hoping Mikhail, wherever he is, can hear it.
