Villain Deku, but devoid of all emotion.
The years of emotional abuse and being told he wasn't good enough finally got to him. There's a dead, cold look in his eyes. He resents heroes, every last one of them.
One day he's pitted up against Bakugo. His veneer begins to crack, as Kaachan starts pleasing with him, wondering what set Deku off. He seemed okay in 1-A, so he thought it might be a villain with a mind control quirk, one like Shinsou.
But that's not it at all. It's because the years upon years of being told he was too weak, the countless times he was told to take a swan dive, the constant laughter and underestimation of his power.
He never completely mastered his quirk at UA, because he slowly started slipping. After graduation, he still tried to be a pro hero, but the teasing never ended. He climbed desperately to the number 6 spot, but he put all of his worth into replacing his former role model.
During a run-in with the LOV, Deku can't bring himself to help the nearby innocents. To him, they weren't innocent anymore. They had ridiculed him for far too long, and he was furious. He cracked, in front of everyone.
He leaves the civilians to die, running to a secluded area. He screams, uses one for all at 100% power without destroying his body for the first time ever. He wrecks himself, ripping out his own hair, digging at his skin, slamming his head into anything that might make these thoughts dissappear.
He stays hidden, on the run for weeks. His former classmates and teachers frantically search for him, but he's determined to stay away.
Eventually he shows up at Shigiraki's door. He looks absolutely insane, like he's lost all rationality. He's filthy, covered in his own blood, missing chunks of his hair. Obviously Shigiraki is surprised, and doesn't trust Deku in the slightest.
Yet Deku comes willingly, almost pleadingly. He convinces the LOV that he is, in fact, done playing the good guy. He explains himself, the reasons why he's there. They begin to trust him, to speak with him and tell them their plans.
He is to stay behind at first, as backup and technical support. He's a valuable tool, knowing everything there is to know about every hero. Their fighting styles, their weaknesses, their families. The League destroys hero after hero, taking out smaller ones first. They begin to work strategically because of Deku.
Eventually they reach the top ten. Most of Deku's classmates have been taken out, plus several teachers. He barely feels any remorse at all.
Because of the scale of power in the top ten, Deku begins helping on the field. He has learned to think before feeling. He is truly the most important person in the LOV, the most valuable. They lose a great many tools, dozens of Nomu.
And finally, the fight with the number one pro hero begins. Katsuki Bakugo, Deku's former classmate, childhood friend, the kne who gave him the name Deku. This fight was the most taxing, and several more important LOV members are injured.
Eventually Bakugo and Deku are the last ones standing. Deku is only using 50% of his quirk and already Bakugo looks exhausted, worse for wear. He begins pleading, sobbing, demanding to know what happened to him. He screams in agony, claiming that he was worried for his Deku.
Deku laughs, cold and conniving. Bakugo had never heard anything more terrifiying. This once happy, curious boy seemed to have no problem being covered in the blood of his old classmates, the innocent civilians he swore to strongly to protect.
"Oh, my dear Kaachan," Midoriya steps close enough to tip up Bakugo's chin, lifting it with one finger.
"You were right. I never did become a hero."
