This is my main writing project for December of 2026!

Chapter 2 was supposed to be completed in February… oh well! I'm a little bit behind schedule, but that's not too bad since Ch. 1 is finished.

A bonus drabble for the Monster Cocoapowder AU that I have would be neat, but Ch. 2 of ██████████ takes priority!

Copow "cookin' in the kitchen" fic, for my birthday maybe… which will be posted on Clover's birthday. Maybe.

This is my main writing project for December of 2026!

Chapter 2 is still in its loose notes stage, so that's my main worry... CAN I get this done before February ends? I sure hope so.

Cleaning up these drafts for public posting will not take place for a while... I'm thinking maybe putting up Ch. 1 (as well as a precursor to that chapter, which is completed!!) on Archive of Our Own around June?

A gift fic for @/wimisoda! Titled "we can see when the dark sets down"

♦ Around November of last year, I doodled these two designs for monster copows!! It came with some scattered thoughts, including but not limited to these factoids:

Both of them are boss monsters! Chara being something similar to the kind of monsters the Dreemurrs are, and Clover being something close to what Chujin is. Neither of them are blood related to the Dreemurrs nor Chujin respectively.

Both of them were alive during the war between monsters and humans, but have lost their parents. Something about their boss monster nature and magical composition keeps them alive... but it also prevents them from growing up. They are both essentially children forever.

After monsters were trapped underground, the Dreemurrs discovered Chara and adopted them.

For the fic's sake (and literally something I thought up as I was typing it today...) a human did fall into the underground and was also adopted by the Dreemurrs. While the buttercups plan would never be put to action, the human and Asriel did die and a hunt for seven human souls is still underway.

(The deltarune fan within my soul wants to say that the human who fell was Kris, and that Asriel and Kris were not the only ones that died [just to include someone like Dess in the tragedy that kicked off the human headhunt], but that's a thought to roll around in my head and develop into something proper another day.)

Clover was recently discovered within the Dunes!! The people at the Wild East looks after them!

They have not been formally adopted by anyone, but they did take on the Wild East's aesthetics and the hardened cowboy archetype quickly.

When they aren't LARPing as the Wild East's deputy, they're a giant goober... but as the deputy, they take things very seriously. Being an immortal child that experienced the war doesn't help.

The vibe here is 20k enemies to friendship to puppy lovers cocoapowder, but like... they'll never grow up. And the underground's seriously no place for a kid to grow up in in the first place.

Overall this' a bittersweet setting that will continue to be something I may chip away at over time, but not actively.
