i had this theory from before chapter 5 came out, about what SNEO's line "YOU LOST IT WHEN YOU TRIED TO SEE TOO FAR…." means, where i think it's about seeing past the prophecy and past the in-game world's boundaries. i was positing this as the reason why spamton and jevil have "lost it", because they both saw "too far", and spamton is warning kris of the same thing in the weird route.
so it really stuck out to me that breaking the in-game world's boundaries (seemingly wrong warping) is what happened in chapter 5's continuation of the weird route. we know noelle really likes this kinda thing with creepy video game glitches, of which many involve boundary breaking. i think because she's made the connection in her mind with what's going on between her and kris as being tied to game mechanics*, she chose this to be one of the "impossible things" that she can do with kris.
*this is more emphasized in chapter 2 but i feel like it's still the case given that this is what she's trying to do now
another part of that pre-ch5 theory was this: "i think the ending of the prophecy isn't actually written and gerson was foreshadowing that. maybe that's why "seeing too far" in the prophecy makes one peer into the (presumed) void of the game's code, because. there's nothing there. or the way the code manifests for in-universe characters is something worse than a void…? darker than dark? something like that ?"
i wonder if they warped not To chapter 7, but beyond it. and the reason for needing chapter 7 first is because you need to know how the game is normally goes for wherever they'll end up to really make sense. there are graphics for chapters 8-10 in the game's files and they've been there for a While, so i wonder if it's a hint for this.
yknow how the original super mario bros had the minus world glitch due to wrong warping and pulling from garbage data? i've seen others mention a mother 1 glitch that can result in a similar thing, that tobert seems to be directly referencing with other details like what some of MANCOUNTRY's rudinns say and sans giving you bread (an equivalent of this item is what the mother 1 glitch relies on)
i'm seeing some variation on the broken area where the glitch warps you to, but what's in common is large fields of grass, blocks of what i think is the starting town (haven't gotten very far in the game myself so sorry if that's incorrect) repeating in a glitchy fashion and a monochrome palette.
the third thing is hard to ignore given the significance of monochrome in deltarune and undertale, and more pertinently the fact that in the lake scene, the lake loses color and turns to white. the fact that they're like, bands of solid colors in a line instead of it being drawn/detailed REALLY made me think of what several out-of-bounds areas i've seen look like, where it stops being detailed and is just blocks of color or a stretched out texture (which the end of the lake also reminded me of).
from what i know, when garbage data is pulled from (in video games, don't know much otherwise), there's a good chance it'll bring up existing data, but in the wrong place. that's exactly what the mother 1 glitch looks like it's doing. and i think what could be "worse than a void", and where kris and noelle might end up is this.
a weird amalgam of existing things... familiar but unfamiliar.... you could try to identify it, but you just can't. it makes me think of the very recurring theme in deltarune of gray areas, blending things, in-between states, what's truly the original, etc. so yeah, i think this could be one of the things that theme is leading up to.

really big fan of this thing that happens if you push off every single pushable statue in this room. idk why i did that i just. idk i wanted to see if something would happen. and something did
i've been playing the game for like 14 hours. so this isn't going to be, eloquent*... but i liked the chapter! whichis what i expected
also... please don't take how much i had to say about everything as how much i care about each of those respective things. plus, you know that i have great investment in certain characters. so, naturally i have more to say about them.

light world
getting to see noelle and susie get close was really sweet and encouraging ^^ also like how they're all supportive of each other ! i am, really worried about carol and rudy, cause both of them have something going on. like, carol is clearly investigating the shelter which must be stressful as fuck and rudy is, y'know..
theres like a lot of different things in the light world that i can talk about actually but i realy need 2 sleep
castle town
i already said this in a different post but that swatch scene is just lame as hell. choosing to flanderize them for maximum goof factor over an opportunity to flesh their character out more was a lame-ass decision. i like the makeup jokes but that absolutely could've been worked into something with more substance
tasque manager has become reliigious which is an interesting choice. she's praying for something pretty badass.. very respectable. the mikes... i have no idea what's going on with the secret minigame thing in their room. the trash battle is really nice, i loved the message it was tryna say (i just really appreciate tobert tryna encourage people to be creative even if it seems like they're silly ideas*)
dark world
this was good. i liked the variety in environments! i'm really fond of the enemies as well. this includes the flowers. they were very different than what i expected. i really didn't think they'd be so human, but given that it's one of kris' dark worlds, it makes sense.
honestly i really do like all of them. i feel like if i listed all their individual qualities i enjoy.... i would sound kinda silly cause some of my reasoning is more in-depth than others.........
flowery... he is a noble guy he is a guy who genuinely loves his friends and asgore as well and he's grateful. like he has a lot of good qualities but he's a dickhead to ralsei so i Will get him. also i don't like his Smug Aura
ending
man.... i'm glad susie's living in a better home. being surrounded by people who care about you.. it's nice. and i'm pretty excited for noelle joining the team. oh yeah asgore. uuuuh yeah i have no clue why the knight is pulling these stunts
*yknow, it's funny. i've been struggling so much with interacting with fellow fans because, i feel like there's something flawed in every thing i have to say and everything i draw. like, there's a problem in all of it, and everyone knows, and they're judging me for it (partially because i know for a fact that some people actively are)
and while my brain is like really wonky rn i do distinctly remember alvin talking about that sort of thing, and it really resonated with me. the thing with imperfection leading to sincerity. yeah i just, wish i didn't constantly see people pointing out flaws in what everyone else is making. even if i don't care about something or it even bothers me... it's nice that people are having fun. idk.
speaking of fellow fans i just really need to like. stay away from all that for a bit. i will be here saying some things and i don't mind people asking my onions but i'm going to stay away from other people's posts
that swatch scene, in retrospect. like i think i found it funny when i saw it first cause it was so baffling. i think it is supposed to be humorous, like it's a goofy, misguided version of what queen does, but the dialogue is so bad i'm sorry. it doesn't have to do with them being shown to have negative traits or whatever, it's the fact that it's like weird-ass exaggerated/flanderizing type dialogue that doesn't really match them
