#tengen and Kenjaku are so good because they are the ones only who live throughout the ages the way they do #no one else knows what that’s like #they only had each other #and yet the ways they approach immortality are incompatibly opposing #and there is so much strife and tension between them for it #the only common denominator between them is taking the bodies of others as their own #meanwhile #you got takaba and Kenjaku who matched freaks so thoroughly #it must’ve been a fresh breath of air to Kenny to have someone just Get It the way he does #takaba having a genuine desire to connect and amuse the guy he is assisting another to kill #and being the first to succeed in doing so with Kenjaku in so many centuries #matched freaks in a way tengen and kenjaku probably once wished they could’ve #takaken #kentaka #tenken #kenten #takaba fumihiko #fumihiko takaba #tengen #kenjaku #jjk

i am terminally A Sucker for characters who have a towering and generally earned ego about their own ability and absolutely no self-worth about themselves as a person at all. intoxicating combo.

#one of my favourite aspects of Gojo and Sukuna’s characters #hands down #they were both dehumanised from birth in opposite directions and it gradually worsened the further they grew in power and title #and they both internalised that shit so hard #they both have dialogue that practically states they don’t consider themselves human #in the ways that matter #perpetuating it onto themselves because that’s the way they learnt to live #and refusing to consider that another lifestyle is something they could and should try to grasp until they’re dead #they couldn’t be fixed because they were ONLY caught dead speaking on their feelings about their humanity #or more accurately the lack thereof they felt was missing and unrecognised #something something you can’t save those who don’t want saving #who don’t want to change in this lifetime #surrounded by flowers and fish #I especially love smashing their mutual lack of human identity together #they’re so weird I love them #gojo satoru #ryomen sukuna #jjk
