The King of Jeju or Ulsan could be the first opponent to push SB Daniel into awakening his first mastery.
Just to clarify, we don’t know whether this unknown King will be the King of Jeju or the King of Ulsan, so I’ll create short storylines for both.
This King is characterized by overwhelming strength and such high durability that he seems invincible, but he has a single weakness that his opponent can exploit if they manage to discover it. A King like this would be the perfect opponent for OG Daniel, since Daniel’s Path allows him to see his opponent’s weaknesses, meaning he could identify the King of Jeju’s only weakness. On top of that, this King could be given a twisted sense of justice.
The other Allied members would face the King of Jeju’s executives, while SB Daniel would fight the King of Jeju. However, SB Daniel would realize that this King is invulnerable to his attacks, and he also possesses devastating strength. After struggling for a while, SB Daniel would awaken strength mastery and surpass the King’s raw power, beginning his counterattack. Just when it seems like his attacks are working, it’s quickly revealed that they aren’t. The King of Jeju explains that SB Daniel lacks speed, meaning the greater the speed, the greater the impact. Even though SB Daniel’s speed is high, it still isn’t enough. Even so, the King becomes concerned about SB Daniel’s strength despite him only having one mastery, so he decides to knock him out and kill him.
SB Daniel is defeated, and the Allied members defend him. Meanwhile, OG Daniel wakes up and quickly fights Jeju’s Number 2. Although he struggles at first, he eventually wins without much trouble. Meanwhile, the Allied members are suffering against their invincible enemy until OG Daniel arrives and uses his Path to identify the King of Jeju’s only weakness. After some complications, OG Daniel manages to win. Yes, honestly, I think OG Daniel deserves to defeat the final boss of an arc.
This would also be a different kind of opponent. He is one of the fastest Kings, second only to Gongseob Ji (the King of Daegu), with whom he has an aggressive rivalry. This King has a technique mastery focused on defense, and a strength mastery that he uses both to attack and to stop incoming attacks.
Allied would first defeat the King of Ulsan’s executives, but immediately afterward, the King of Ulsan and his second in command would appear. SB Daniel would easily lose to the King of Ulsan and become furious seeing his allies get hurt. The King of Ulsan acknowledges that SB Daniel’s raw strength is extremely high and decides he must kill him before he becomes a threat to his plans. However, SB Daniel’s desire to protect his friends would push him to awaken speed mastery, allowing him to land several hits that defeat Ulsan’s Number 2, and even cause trouble for the King of Ulsan in dodging and enduring his attacks.
The King of Ulsan admits that SB Daniel’s speed is extremely high, comparing him to James and that person, so he decides to fight him as if Daniel were James Lee. The King of Ulsan uses a technique he prepared to take revenge on James Lee, managing to defeat SB Daniel, but then James Lee appears to save him. James came because he knew the King of Ulsan wouldn’t hesitate to kill Daniel. The executives and second in command try to fight him, but James Lee crushes them effortlessly. The King of Ulsan also gets beaten badly, but in the end, he finds the perfect moment to use his technique, only to lose in an instant to James Lee’s Path. James admits he’s somewhat surprised, since the first time he fought the King of Ulsan, he didn’t even need to use his Path.
I didn’t talk about these Kings’ objectives because I’d first like to know who the ‘Great Evil’ introduced a few chapters ago is, and who Charles Choi’s second body might be. For now, I’ll treat them as separate characters so they don’t conflict with existing theories about the ‘Great Evil’.
The King of Jeju works for the ‘Great Evil’, which is why James Lee didn’t take anything from him, since it wouldn’t be wise to provoke him. Daniel and the Allied members would discover this and travel to Jeju to gather information about this ‘Great Evil.’
The King of Ulsan works for Charles Choi’s second body, and James didn’t take anything from him at Charles’s request. Daniel would learn that strange things are happening in Ulsan and investigate with his friends. In the end, James Lee kidnaps the King of Ulsan to obtain more information.
