NEW PHILOSOPHY TUBE JUST DROPPED
This is the one baybeee. This is the big one, the one about trans healthcare, the big kahuna, the forbidden episode I’d never do, the one where I drag Br*tish institutions and make a bunch of references to a famous novel - you know me!
Enjoy, and also - I never normally ask but, SHARE THIS ONE AROUND LADS

Forever grateful to have the privilege of informed consent clinics despite the ongoing attack on trans people in this country. It was three days between my initial appointment and my prescription of HRT. I have never regretted that decision.
In light of today’s bird app news, I’m glad we can be an inspiration to those less fortunate than us. Godspeed
A common worry in polyamory when your partner starts seeing someone else is often "what if my partner loves them more?!" But there is no "love them more" there's only "love them, too."

After much research I have come to the conclusion that the t4t polyamorous kink lifestyle is simply the best option available
In this economy it's the most fiscally responsible as well
Does every conversation have to involve the polyclue? Yes.

I haven't seen anyone talking about Jordan Gray yet, which is absolutely insane. For those who don't know (and I'm assuming that's most of you)
[Image Description: a news headline that reads "Jordan Gray: Trans comedian strips naked on Channel 4 for Friday Night Live" /end id]
[Video Description: Jordan Gray is on a blue-lit stage wearing a pink suit, playing the keyboard. She says to the audience, "You know the best thing about live tv? I can do stupid stuff like this." She stands up from the keyboard, moves over to be completely unobscured from the audience, and in one movement tears her suit off, revealing herself naked underneath. The nudity is censored with pixelation. She returns to the keyboard and continues playing. She says something indistinct to the cheering audience. /end id]
and this is so fucking important. There is, of course, the expected negative reaction. However, a lot of positive support too, including the audience for that show, and from the company in charge of Friday Night Live, who approved the stunt beforehand. But even so the bravery required for this is insane, and doing it on terf island no less.
But in addition to being a good bit of shock value, I think it's a genuinely amazing piece of performance art. Cis people think they're entitled to know everything about our bodies, and this is a parody of that idea.
There's an uncensored version of this clip which also shows her striking the final note on the keyboard with her penis before dancing around the stage a bit more and leaving, as well as an audience reaction shot or two.
This version of the clip also more clearly shows something that I think is important; Gray is very attractive. The video isn't really "sexy," but still, she's clearly an attractive woman and I think that's also very important to the art. Cis people expect trans people to be hideous or mutilated, but Jordan Gray looks like a model. I could keep talking forever but I'm ending the post here.
Ahhh! This is so cool!

Midnight Maniac
The acid has just set in. We walk into the gallery. I am with good company, many close friends. Walking through the halls, I find comfort in one of the pieces. A white couch with spines like that of a porcupine. I lay on it. A calm comes over me. The quills breathe with me and change colors. The couch puffs up. I am entranced by the foreign movements of the piece. A current sent from the power station flows through the wires, down the street, past cars, past houses, past the sleeping children, into the heart of the city, down the ville, into the gallery, through the wall, through the socket, into the device and the room is forever changed. The projector coats the room in a watery teal film. Technic-color bubbles appear, disappear, grow shrink, move and stay, all at once. My attention shifts. It is time to leave. I walk through the sky-way, down the stairs into the bus terminal and out into the street. DO NOT CROSS tape criss-crosses the avenue. People huddle together in fear, or maybe its the cold. Police hold back the crowd. In the distance a robot examines a neglected bag, its a bomb. I am bound to the ground, as these events play backwards. People disperse from the crowd and return to their primary actions. I arrive at the point when the man places the bag down. I know him, I’ve seen him before. I follow him back to the terminal. I can expose him. I wait for the events to replay. “Who wants to know who is responsible for this attack!?” He is vulnerable. The man runs up the stairs, through the sky-way and into the gallery. I catch up to him, grab his shoulder and turn him around… The man is me.
I can't remember if I wrote this or not but damn if I did I had some weird dreams in high school.
I completely understand that some trans people really like "gender abolition" as a concept.
I don't. I prefer Gender Liberation.
I like my gender. I like having a gender.
Unlike radfems, trans people do not think birth sex is more important than gender. But if you eradicate gender, birth sex is all that's left. And if you pay attention to the gender critical feminists, that's what they want. They want society to be divided along the lines of birth sex. They absolutely believe in sexual dimorphism and the sex binary. They want to enforce it by eliminating gender expression!
"Gender abolition" is at this point a synonym for "gender critical". I did not first hear of "gender abolition" from trans people, I heard of it from terfs and radfems.
A lot of the philosophies of gender abolition are the same as gender liberation:
Free people from the expectations of a sexist patriarchy. Let people express themselves however they like. Do not assign stereotypes to people based on their birth sex. Let people have full bodily autonomy over themselves.
The difference between gender liberation and gender abolition is that gender abolitionists believe that gender is inherently and unchangeably oppressive in all cultures around the world and has been since the dawn of humanity.
I think that's presumptuous. And racist. And xenophobic.
Gender is a form of human expression. It's not inherently bad or good. It's just one more way we can express ourselves. And it absolutely should be optional. It should also be something you can pick and choose and mix and match.
That's what I mean by gender liberation. Freeing gender not only from the patriarchy, but freeing it from sex as well. Freeing it from gender stereotypes, freeing it from sex stereotypes. freeing it from everything, so it can be a beautiful form of human expression.
Gender criticals, radfems and terfs do not want trans people to exist, which is why they say trans people uphold the gender binary and we are "preventing" gender abolition from happening. The people using this term are your enemy.
I won't be using any term that consistently has "#radfem" attached to it.
