WHAT’S THAT ABOUT BEING LATE FOR THE BANDWAGON?

Axinite is my gemsona now. No go backsies. This lazily-dressed, terribly-postured lame-o is my gem gal who has axes for arms and occasionally phases them into a two-armed mace. Gets all elbow-y. Is double jointed in the shoulder joint so she can twist her elbows forwards and awkward ways and shit.

She’s pretty chill and quiet, but not shy, and thinks a lot and tries to make sense of things and has a sixth sense for suspicious things - such as liars or hidden doors. Generally good at knowing when something’s wrong or someone’s upset. Tries to appear wise but she spends so much time in her head she misses the mark sometimes

Yeah idk I’m not fussed on the clothes but!! I might go over her again some other time.

I. Totally didn’t realise. For a really long time. That these guys are an OTP of mine. And I really haven’t drawn anything properly for myself in such a long time, so I did this instead of uni work and I’m half regretting it buuuut who cares.

I also vaguely remember a short-lived meme a long time ago that asked people to upload their digital drawing process, so I figured I’d have a go at documenting that? The coloured lines were all on separate layers until the linear process.

I??? Finished a thing?? For once??

it’s been so long since I’ve actually sat down to draw with a tablet it’s ridiculous.

but ye this is for my current project about Assyrian culture in the british museum

finally installed my tablet and photoshop like 2 days ago and doodled a scarecroe

it wasn't meant to be scarecroe but then it became her and so I did a little more and it got motivational??¿¿ it's been such a long time since I used a graphics tablet I'm surprised at how quickly I got back into it

aw yeah motherfucking Final Major Project

so I've not really been posting much on the art blog for about a year now

the blame lies in that I took a foundation course in art & design and it has taken up all of my time always and forever and now that it is finished I have no idea what to do with myself

Going off the Winchester to do Graphics after summer but until then. Idk.

But hey yeah, these are the five layered stencils that I made for my final project, and also that I was graded on (got a Distinction!! Aw yiss). My main inspiration was from the artist couple Hari & Deepti who do this kind of thing but in boxes - I'm gonna try and figure out if there's a way to produce these in a way to sell them that isn't framed, though, because I think it's important that you can see the layers that make up the piece while also viewing the actual image the layers produce.

The one with the most layers is the smallest one about adventure and that had 8 layers, but the least amount of layers I used was 3. As you can see, the three pieces that were purely one colour/type of paper work best - the coloured pieces were an experiment that I had no chance to test as everything went up last minute.

The amount of problems I had in the last two weeks before the exhibition were ridiculous - literally a problem every day. i am not kidding. I came in on the morning of the exhibition and some of the lighting had fallen apart.
