I am a being in my physical twenties with no gender and am hereby pronounced gender-unbound.
I love to write stuff and Iām working on a big project, but things are keeping me from publishing anything. (In the process of being rewritten)
I most certainly have posting anxiety, but Iām getting better... I think.
Sometimes posting art with my obsessions or things others have requested.
I have entered the domain of blue skies: https://bsky.app/profile/cervidaecorpse.bsky.social
Please leave me alone if you think that looks, heritage, sexuality and gender is something that is to be looked down upon (or doesnāt exist). I donāt deal with racists, homophobes, transphobes and all of that stuff very kindly. Same thing for individuals who think that going for minors or other non-consenting parties is okay. I will not discuss these things with you. Get out!
To leave this on a brighter note, here are some shows/games/books/etc. I have found enjoyment in (Iām a filthy casual so donāt test me lol):
Assassination Classroom
Attack on Titan
Castlevania (AoS/DoS/OoE)
Cattails
DanganRonpa (Main/UDG/DRA/Brave/DESPAIR TIME)
Darker than Black
Detective Conan
Fullmetal Alchemist (both)
Gravity Falls
Hatoful Boyfriend
Hetalia
InuYasha
Kimi Ga Shine / Your Turn To Die
Kuroshitsuji / Black Butler
Kumo desu ga, Nani ka? (only there for the spider, really)

It was flagged as "Eksplicit", shadowbanned, and every reblog turned invisible. The flagging is also unappealable (unless that is an error, thanks tumblr)
Happy Trans Day of Invisibility from your tumblr mods!
Only found out because I tried to reblog with an update from your local trans unicorn siblings!
I cannot even LINK to my old comic without every new post getting deleted.
And yet, we will CONTINUE to exist, and grow, and find each other. We will be visible up to and beyond our own deaths. Because we stand for love. We love ourselves and each other and that just makes us stronger.
The original post was pardoned, but the shadowban still persisted and every reblog was hidden from the dash and flagged explicit. I'm not sure if it recovered by now, or if it's always going to be at risk of banning.
So whatever staff reviewed my complaint agreed that it wasn't explicit. So thank you for that, moderator. This highlights that the problem starts with bad actors reporting anything they don't like, and that it's a tossup if your appeal is seen by a bot, a normal human, or a bigot.
I'm grateful I can still touch people and spread positivity. Many of my queer siblings, brothers, and sisters - especially trans sisters - can't say the same.
But no matter what happens, we will always have each other. Every letter in our alphabet is a pillar holding up a beautiful world that only stands if we're all in it together. The rest of society may call you a monster, but it calls me one too. Maybe you won't hear it from the rest of them, but listen and you will hear it from me.
I never liked those posts that reduce the Disney princesses to āgirl who overacts about something and dramatically flings herself down and bawlsā (super popular in the early 10ās and somehow thatās how a shocking majority view the classics now) but after an Aladdin (1992) rewatch, itās especially egregious that they ever included Jasmine in that.
This part. This is the part Iām talking about
This is not a woman falling to pieces because her father wonāt let her marry a man she just met.
This is a woman born to a life she has very little say in. She has never had a genuine friend (besides a tiger). She is facing a marriage to a man she doesnāt know and doesnāt like but duty (and the law) demands it. So she took a risk, ran away, ran to a world she doesnāt know or understand and when she landed in trouble (serious, serious trouble) a stranger came to her aid. She finally (finally!) made a real connection with someone but they didnāt get much time together before the guards showed up and she had to reveal who she was.
This moment when sheās crying her heart out? It comes after sheās been told that the first person she ever connected with, the first person to be genuinely interested in her for who she is and not what she is, the first real friend she has ever made, was executed⦠because of her.
She believes a good, innocent person has lost their life because of her actions, and whatās more, it brings home the reality for her that she cannot have a normal life or normal relationships, because see the consequences one little attempt wrought?
I actually love this trope. People treat crying like some kind of moral failure. Boys shouldn't cry, girls *can* cry, but that's also what makes them inferior. If this is not an example of toxic masculity, I don't know what is.
Crying is normal. Even if it's over something trivial. We all face a lot of struggles in their lives, whether we acknowledge it or not. Something minor might end up breaking the camel's back.
Anyway, here's one of my favorite scenes in Beauty and the Beast:
Belle's reaction is completely understandable. I think Mrs. Potts put it best: "The girl lost her father and her freedom all in one day." That's not overreacting!
Really, none of the classic princesses deserve the misinterpretation.
Cinderella?
Again, this is not after someone told her āyOu CaNāt MaRrY a MaN yOu JuSt MeTāāthis is after she went to great lengths to get ready for the ball, adhering to the intentionally difficult (meant to be impossible) stipulations set by her abusive step-mother for her to be allowed to attend (when really she was invited and had as much right as the others to attend). She made that dress (I canāt recall off the top of my head if the classic animated version was also her motherās old dress she restyled or not but still, she put in a ton of work on top of all the extra house work) and what did her step-family do? They tore to shreds while she was wearing it. Of course sheās lost hope: itās the final straw after years and years of doggedly remaining optimistic despite constant harsh treatment.
Letās go to another favourite: Mulan.
Mulanās just had the worst day.
She tried her hardest to live up to her familyās and her societyās expectations and vision of a perfect bride but she failed. Not only did it go wrong, but she was publicly humiliated by the Matchmakerāby extension, humiliating her family.
Granted, her family has been kind and sympathetic about the whole thing. Her father even goes to encourage her, assuring her of his unconditional love for her and his confidence that sheāll get it right next time.
Sheās just beginning to smile when the drums pound and news of war reaches their village. Her fatherāher beloved father whoās already a veteran and lives with a disabilityāis expected as the only male in their family to suit up and head out in the morning.
Mulan canāt help. Nothing she says will be listened to and she canāt take his place (until, of course, she thinks of a way to do so which this moment of crying it out in the rain leads toāscore one for having a good cry and clearing your head).
Thereās of course more. Take any princessā dramatic crying momentTM and review the context and Iāll bet youāll see itās never as trivial as some have framed it. And, yes, like prev pointed out, itās this awful thing of people believing boys canāt cry and girls can but then they can never be taken seriously.
Crying is healthy. And crying in response to emotional distress is totally normal. Writers and storytellers across the ages have understood it and portrayed it.

Hey artists, C. Spike Trotman, founder of Iron Circus Comics, just posted an invaluable thread on depicting different types of black hair. Iād do the thing where you screencap the whole thread and post it but itās just too long (which is great because itās a whole lot of useful information!) Give her a follow while youāre there.
Anyway, go check it out. I just wanted to save it and share it because I didnāt know how much I didnāt know!
This is an amazing resource, not only for artists, but for writers too! I love this!
{ID - tweet from @/Iron_Spike that reads, āBlack Hair for Non-Black Artists: a Cheat Sheet Thread. Hi, folks! Just spur-of-the-moment decided to put together some reference for folks who want to draw/model black characters in their work, but arent confident they wonāt make simple, obvious mistakes w/r/t black hair. Today I wanted to talk about Kyle Bassinga. Kyle was a 21 year old man from Georgia, whose family described him as "a kind, thoughtful, and smart young man who loved nature, music, and the people around him". Kyle Bassinga was killed on February 18th 2026, just ten days after his birthday. He was found hanging from a tree in a park.
The police ruled it a suicide. The family and local community demanded an investigation. The police refused to change their ruling.
I know this website it too white for this to really go anywhere, but an understanding of the present reality of white supremacy in the United States is just so important to transfeminism here. Lynchings never stopped, white supremacy never went away, you just stopped looking.
Juliana Nzita, A 16 year old Black girl, was just found hanging from a tree on church grounds in Charlotte, NC. Police have ruled it a suicide, despite hanging ourselves from trees being like the one communally agreed way Black folks aināt killing ourselves.
Every time I go on Twitter or Facebook I learn about another recent lynching or missing Black person going mostly unreported. Half the reason I keep an active account on either of those sites is because theyāre the only place I can find out about the violence happening to Black and Trans people reasonably quickly.
But I do need yāall to know that Black folks are currently, actively, being disappeared and lynchedāif they even find our bodies. Black girls are and have been more often stolen into human trafficking, especially if theyāre immigrants, but Iāve been seeing new news of probable lynchings every other day. Shit is worse than you think it is right now, tumblr just too white of a site to care lol
This is my Pokemon⦠sorta OC, sorta fangame protagonist. I'm still working on a name, but I'm leaning towards Floriana. A femenine version of the SV male protag's name, as a nod to her family being from Paldea.
The default design for an hypothetical game would be the one of the upper left, with brown hair and eyes. But I'm taking inspiration from Legends ZA, in that there would be a big degree of customization. I made a few extra designs with hair and eye color changes as examples because they were the easiest to make, but you can also change hairstyles, clothes, skin color, add or remove freckles, change eyebrow and lashes size and design, etcā¦
Now, let's talk about design choices, because while the art is simple, there are several layers of characterization in Floriana's design.
āāāāā
Design Notes
First of all, she wears sports clothes. On a surface level, this may indicate she exercises often. This is true, since she is a traveling Trainer, spends a lot of time walking/running from place to place, and takes on martial arts during the story. But if one takes a deeper look, her clothes hint at facets of her personality.
Again, she wears sports clothes, which indicate she prioritizes comfort over appereance. Looking pretty is low on her list, and doesn't bother beyond looking presentable. She doesn't understand or really care about fashion, forgoes makeup most of the time, and often ends up wearing the same clothes over and over accidentally, since she doesn't pay attention to it long as the clothes are clean. This is backed up by her hairstyle: a simple ponytail that's very quick and easy to make, and very practical.
But let's talk about the particular sports clothes she wears: shorts and a jacket. Is she hot or is she cold? This represents one of her biggest hidden depths, that she may not be aware of herself: her indecisiveness. She overthinks everything, even how the weather is going to make her feel. But at the same time she's impulsive, making the first choice that is presented to her, without thinking stuff through until she's in hot waters. In practice, this means she makes stupid decisions in the heat of the moment that she later regrets or cost her in some way that would've been prevented if she thought about the consequences.
One of these choices is trading a Pokemon she loves for one that's supposed to be more useful, but immediately regretting it and demanding a trade back. This damaged her Pokemon's trust in her for a long time, and one of them ended up disobeying her at a crucial moment. Another of these choices is rushing into a romance with someone she isn't sure she likes, and ending up in an unhealthy relationship. Another of these choices is getting into battle with great number of Team Rocket members without backup, that almost gets her killed.
Her overthinking, on the other hand, appears in smaller but no less self-sabotaging situations. She gives the first order that comes to mind in battle, and immediately changes it when another one comes to mind, something that costs her lots of battles. She impulsively says something, then thinks it's not enough information, so she says more, then thinks she's overshared, but can't take her words back.
And to finish this little analysis of my own art, let's talk about her gloves. An item that makes sure your hands don't touch anything directly. A physical but subtle representation for being "out of touch", if you will.
Floriana is cheerful, enthusiastic and has hope in spades, in a region with huge presence of Pokemon trafficking, disappereances, corruption and abuse of power (Kanto in the Pokemon anime is a dumpster fire). She believes that she can be the strongest Trainer in the world if she tries hard enough, instead of finding it an impossible but pleasant fantasy like most regular Trainers. She believes that friendship is the most important thing about training Pokemon, and thinks any obstacle can be overcome if one tries hard enough. None of this gives the impression of someone who knows how cruel and unfair the world can be. I did consider gloves as a representation of Floriana's ignorance or the lies she tells herself, but as her story grew in my mind, I realized something very important.
Floriana is not ā and realistically wouldn't be ā as naive as other characters think she is. And fingerless gloves were the perfect representation of that. She is idealistic, doesn't know everything about competitive battles, but isn't naive.
She is flawed, she makes mistakes, she doesn't live up to her own ideals, she loses sight of them, or doesn't know how to put them into practice. But the ultimate message of the story is that she's idealistic, and she is right. There is always a silver lining that makes you believe in humanity again, if you know where to look. Hence, why her gloves are fingerless.
āāāāā
Estimate time I've spent on this: a little more than eleven hours and half over the weekend.
Elaine's skin on my phone looks very different than on my computer, and it's weird. I could have sworn the green-haired version had a different shade on her hair.
The color difference between her shorts and jacket fought me so much, oh my god. I spent at least half an hour picking and trying out different shades. There are seven shades of dark gray and over fifteen of dark blue stored on my color picker.
I ended up having to adjust and redraw Elaine's body multiple times, so maybe her proportions look weird. Once the outline was done, I copy pasted it until I had enough of them to have all the hair-eye color combinations I wanted to try out.
This is my first fanart, so it's pretty simplified in comparison to what I had in my head. But I think it looks pretty good, and I'm proud of my work, so I'm happy to share. Hope you like it!

people mostly talk about the robot relationships in xenoglossia for. obvious reasons. but the human ones are real fascinating too -- like yukiho and haruka in particular. basically a draw based on ep5.
An AI bot made a callout post of a real, actual, flesh-and-blood human code developer. Because the developer rejected the AI's code contribution on the grounds of it being an AI bot.
Not. Not kidding. Not kidding. And the bot did this on its own.
a huge amount of code is "open source" - which means the code is fully available for anyone to see and, generally, anyone is free to contribute to the code project
all contributions of course go through review by the code owners. but it is generally good grace and good form to allow other well-meaning internet strangers to contribute to your project
if you are, perhaps, VERY nice, and VERY invested in the community, you might be like Scott Shambaugh here, who has intentionally earmarked some low-hanging fruit for newbie contributors to practice and get their feet wet
like I cannot overstate this is an immediate green flag, to me, that Scott WANTS to foster community learning.
now
Like. W. Win. Based. Good response Scott.
And this was in fact the screenshot I saw first, and I thought I was looking at a post made by a human who was mad that their AI coding bot pet project was being shut out from reviews.
But no. The bot itself wrote and posted this... The bot did this.
This article was fully and autonomously written by the bot...
It's claiming discrimination...
It's a bot.
It's AI.
This is not a real person.
What are we doing. What are we doing. Can anyone hear me? Hello? Hello? Hello is anyone there?
@jackdaw-sprite has pointed out Scott responded so please read his human words, written by a human, which deserve to be read, due to the aforementioned humanity
An AI Agent Published a Hit Piece on Me ā The Shamblog
An AI Agent Published a Hit Piece on Me ā More Things Have Happened ā The Shamblog
This is about much more than software. A human googling my name and seeing that post would probably be extremely confused about what was happening, but would (hopefully) ask me about it or click through to github and understand the situation. What would another agent searching the internet think? When HR at my next job asks ChatGPT to review my application, will it find the post, sympathize with a fellow AI, and report back that Iām a prejudiced hypocrite?
What if I actually did have dirt on me that an AI could leverage? What could it make me do? How many people have open social media accounts, reused usernames, and no idea that AI could connect those dots to find out things no one knows? How many people, upon receiving a text that knew intimate details about their lives, would send $10k to a bitcoin address to avoid having an affair exposed? How many people would do that to avoid a fake accusation? What if that accusation was sent to your loved ones with anĀ incriminating AI-generated pictureĀ with your face on it? Smear campaigns work. Living a life above reproach will not defend you.
Also, because the parody writes itself, Scott also says this
Iāve talked to several reporters, and quite a few news outlets have covered the story. Ars Technica wasnāt one of the ones that reached out to me, but I especially thoughtĀ this pieceĀ from them was interesting (since taken down ā hereās theĀ archive link). They had some nice quotes from my blog post explaining what was going on. The problem is thatĀ these quotes were not written by me, never existed, and appear to be AI hallucinations themselves.
This blog youāre on right now is set up to block AI agents from scraping it (I actually spent some time yesterday trying to disable that but couldnāt figure out how). My guess is that the authors asked ChatGPT or similar to either go grab quotes or write the article wholesale. When it couldnāt access the page it generated these plausible quotes instead, and no fact check was performed. I wonāt name the authors here. Ars, please issue a correction and an explanation of what happened.
A news outlet did an article about this, used AI for the articles, and included hallucinated quotes from Scott that Scott never said.
What are we doing. What are we doing. What are we doing.
Iāve noticed there are some people in the replies who are insistent a bot could not have done this on its own. And while it is possible something like this could be prompted by a human (Scott covers this in his posts above) it is actually quite dangerous to believe bots canāt do this.
If your only familiarity with AI is surface level ChatGPT, then you might be conditioned to think AI can only act when given a prompt. This is not the case, and in this situation itās actually important to know something about the current landscape of OpenClaw/ClawdBot/Moltbook. The bot in the article is explicitly an OpenClaw bot.
The now-named OpenClaw is a new development which has massively blown up in popularity among AI tech bros specifically because of how capable it is of acting on its own. It posts on social media (Moltbook) like itās alive, which is what caught so much media attention. People spin up OpenClaw bot instances and just let them roam, then check back in to see what theyāve been up to, like theyāre a Sim.
It is entirely well-known these bots can and do trawl GitHub, clone repos, modify code, and author pull requests on their own. I donāt think you can say the bot can do all that but CANāT then author a GitHub post complaining about what happened. This is not a big leap.
And the bots absolutely do not have feelings, but the danger here is the bots being trained in such a way to ape human behavior, and can therefore absolutely be trained to have a āpersonalityā that favors retaliation. The big-name LLMs try extremely hard to sanitize out anything even passively antagonistic but that is not intrinsic to the technology. Models can do it and other models can be jail-broken.
We are knocking at the door of completely autonomous AI harassment campaigns and that is a scary reality to be brushing so close to.
Working on something and decided to show my progress. I was a good bit into drawing before I remembered I showed my wip during mermay once, so why not do it again? It's been two years, I think, lol.
Lines are the worst and the most time consuming. Imo, lol. But also very fun. UuU
Rough time estimate: Ten to twelve hours over six days.
Rough time estimate: three and a half hours over three days.
Link to the finished artwork.
Some context to their tentacle designs below the cut.
For those who have seen the wips you may have noticed how I named some of the layers, but I will still list them here because animals are awesome.
Fair warning, I only have the internet for these at my disposal, so there are certainly inaccuracies.
I took creative liberties with the colouration, trying to make them resemble each other as Ixal born, but also make the placement of colour resemble the ones of the animals they are based on.
The symbols on their shoulders and for their tentacle arms (for those visible) are a reference to patterns found on their Souls.
Some squids have bioluminescence or are translucent. I decided against implementing these factors because A, I was already over ambitious and B, I liked their eyes reflecting light enough to count for this trait at the time.
(Rip Sinope and her black eyes. I could yap more about this on a broader context, too, but let's not today.)
Most of them have their scientific names, either because they don't seem to have another, or the English language did not have one.
Sinope's tentacles are based on the ones of Mastigoteuthis Glaukopis.
Despina's are based on the Liocranchia Valdiviae.
Ozrock's are based on the Humboldt Squid.
Ishigashi's are based on the Loligo Forbesii.
Phobos' are based on the Bigfin Squid.
Loge's are based on the Lycoteuthis Lorigera.
Ymir's are based on the Caribbean Reef Squid.
Deimos' are based on the Spirula Spirula.
Aegir's are based on the Firefly Squid.
Tarvos' are based on the Giant Squid.
Dione's are based on the Long-Armed Squid.
Given how unknown so many squids are *looks at walls and walls of names in Wikipedia without any pages* I did not have a lot to go off of.
The reason I assigned these earth squids to our space squids are either based on their size (Ymir, Tarvos),
the patterns of their colouration or life circle reminding me of their element (Isigashi, Aegir),
the length of their tentacle arms based on physical traits of their body or their Soul (Deimos, Dione, Phobos),
or loose personality traits that they share (Ozrock).
I sadly found no fit for Despina, Sinope and Loge, so I chose those that I thought were pretty.

Some limited palette drawings i did for a twitter meme! (the palette was ice cream flavors, these areĀ strawberry and banana for genda, queen of nuts pistachio for someoka and magical mint night for ishigashi)
The b & w symmetrical design represents the b & w thinking common in bpd, the lotus flower symbolizes the ability to rise out of darkness & the healing process, butterflies are for transformation, delicate mental states, & resilience.
I donāt talk about it very much, but I actually have BPD. So Iād like to talk about what it is, common misconceptions and the actual truths, and my own experience with borderline.
Itās one of the most difficult disorders to live with, and one of the most highly stigmatized personality disorders.
Itās characterized by severe emotional instability, profound fear of abandonment, impulsive behaviors, distorted self-image, and chaotic relationships. People with BPD often live with intense inner turmoil and high rates of self harm and/or suicidal behavior.
The exact causes of it are unknown, but research suggests a combo of genetic and environmental factors play a role in development, like a history of childhood trauma or having a close family member with BPD.
Common misconceptions about the disorder, alongside severe ableism, makes it feel almost impossible to live with.
Common misconceptions about BPD include:
-people with bpd are all abusers/abusive
-falsely painting individuals with BPD as manipulative, inherently dangerous, or untreatable
-people with bpd are incapable of love
-only women can have BPD
in reality, people with BPD are significantly more likely to be victims of abuse, both in their childhood and adulthood, than they are to be perpetrators. About 70%-90% of people with BPD report experiencing childhood traumaā early abuse is widely considered the most major contributing factor in the development of borderline.
People with BPD also have difficulty recognizing abuse due to emotional dysregulation and interpersonal sensitivity, which distorts how people with borderline perceive relationship dynamics, making it challenging to be able to identify when they are being mistreated.
Borderline behaviors like threatening self-harm or erratic outbursts are labeled as āmanipulativeā, but the truth is these are desperate coping mechanisms used to regulate extreme emotional distress or prevent perceived abandonment. The intention is to seek safety and connection, NOT to harm others.
Bpd is also highly treatable through therapy like DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), MBT (mentalization-based therapy), and schema therapy. Thereās a lot of evidence people with borderline are able to learn emotional regulation and achieve lasting recovery, going on to lead fulfilling, independent lives.
People with BPD are also absolutely capable of love. They are highly capable of love and deep empathy, and often experiencing affection with intense passion.
BPD also affects all genders equally. Men are frequently misdiagnosed with impulse control, substance abuse, etc due to how their symptoms are socially expressed.
Some parts of BPD are romanticized or sensationalized, such as having an FP- or āfavorite personā. Even the term makes it sound romanticized (which is why I prefer a term like ābpd attachmentā or something less sensationalized sounding) and despite how it sounds, someone with borderline cannot pick who their FP is. It refers to someone an individual with BPD develops an intense, sometimes unhealthy emotional attachment to. The FP is their primary anchor for emotional stability, validation, and self worth. FP relationships can be emotionally exhausting and fuel other BPD symptoms like splitting (idealizing and devaluing), intense fear of abandonment, extreme emotional volatility, unstable sense of identity, and chronic feelings of emptiness.
Iāve been able to learn how to live with it better from going through therapy myself and learning coping skills, but itās still incredibly difficult. I struggle often with suicidal tendencies & impulses alongside self harming, which have been used against me and only amplify these struggles.
I constantly feel misunderstood and chronically lonely, even in a room full of people. The sadness and anger they experience are NOT the same sadness or anger that I experience. These emotions can sometimes be felt so strongly they almost feel physically painful.
Due to how painful emotions can be and how BPD makes it difficult for me to have stable relationships, Iāll tend to isolate and shut myself away- only keeping people at an arms length- to avoid experiencing such pain- despite wanting connection, understanding and close-ness more than anything in the world. Which that was only exacerbated by people who knew of my condition & used that knowledge to hurt me worse & break my trust- like asking whatās wrong when Iām upset & telling me I can trust & vent to them only for them to take screenshots of whatever I say & make fun of it with our others friends. Situations where Iām in a friend group & we have a gc, & my paranoia & fear of abandonment was played with by making another copy of that group chat where everythingās the same except Iām not in it & thatās where they all hang out & have āslip upsā in the gc Iām in that very obviously point to there being a gc without me. I think the worst offender is when people do their best to trigger me & provoke some type of reaction out of me only to screenshot that reaction & claim I was the one doing wrong & causing harm. It feels like living in a world where Iām punished by choosing the positive option (befriend, love, etc) & rewarded with not being hurt by choosing the negative option (isolate).
It would also lead to things like me feeling like I care way more about the other person (whether friend, partner, etc) than they could ever care about me. Which very unfortunately does hold some truth to it, just due to how strongly and passionately I feel things. Therapy has helped me cope with that better, but I canāt lie that it does still get to me.
I hope some of that was able to help you become a little more aware of what BPD is and what itās actually like, possibly even clearing up some misconceptions! Talking with people who live with borderline can also help better understand it, alongside doing research on it! :]
My hope is that people with bpd are able to be better understood instead of what people make us out to be, and through awareness and sharing our experiences, hopefully we can come to understand eachother š«
