The Alpha didn’t say anything as he sat beside him, causing Harry to feel he was displeasing him further. The other didn’t speak but he reached for Harry, and the omega yelped in surprise as he was easily lifted and placed into the Alpha’s lap. His immediate reaction was to climb out but the Alpha’s scent grew once again, and he settled almost instantly.  “Here,” the Alpha said gently, picking up a piece of the meat and bringing it to Harry’s lips, as though he was a young pup and the Alpha a parent. Harry wasn’t going to open his mouth, feeling uncomfortable, but the other spoke again, “Please, omega. Eat.”  Harry didn’t speak but opened his mouth, finally allowing the Alpha to feed him. While he still didn’t feel hungry, he found it was slightly easier to consume the food this way. He closed his eyes and without thinking, rested his head against the Alpha’s shoulder. He continued to feed him silently, Harry opening his lips when the food touched it, and lost himself in time as he continued to be fed until every morsel was gone.

It’s 2001, a year of change. But for Harry Styles, change doesn’t come easy. In fact, it’s nearly impossible. When his brother, Tyler, tells him he’s leaving town for the summer, he begs him to go along. Unwilling to be left behind by the only family he has, Harry begrudgingly agrees to join Tyler and his band on tour. He's forced into a world of unpredictability, unlike the impeccably concise world he’s created.  When introduced to the band’s latest edition, a bass player from the opposite end of town, Harry can’t help himself. He's intrigued. Soon, he finds himself moving closer to the stranger, cautiously accepting the connection he offers. He gradually welcomes the developing friendship, though it goes against everything he knows, inadvertently bringing a change within him. 

“Am I going to be allowed to stay?” Harry asked cautiously, uncertain how comfortable he should be preparing himself for.   “I think so,” Zayn said with a shrug. “Alpha should be around soon. He makes the decision… but, honestly, he’d never allow an omega to leave on their own. It’s not proper.”  “How many omegas do you have?” Harry asked, unable to hide his excitement with the knowledge. “Is there a lot?”  “Uh, yeah,” Zayn laughed openly now. “Where did you come from, Harry? Were you raised in the forest?”  “Oh, no,” Harry shook his head, biting his lip. “I left my pack.. Two winters. Been on my own since.”  “Your pack just let you leave?” Zayn asked curiously as they walked through the grass. Harry sighed, shaking his head.  “No, I just needed to,” Harry whispered. “I didn’t want to be locked up anymore, being the only omega and all.”  “Wait,” Zayn stopped him with a hand on his chest, “How were you the only one?”  “Um,” Harry stepped back from where Zayn touched him, fearing he was saying all the wrong things now, “They perished in the Illness of the Weak.”  “The Illness of the Weak?” Zayn squeaked and grabbed Harry’s wrist, suddenly urgently trying to pull him along but Harry didn’t move. The other didn’t look light or playful anymore, he appeared very fearful all the sudden. “Please, Harry. We need to find Alpha.”
