Part 1/3 of Just Going For a Walk: A Comic About Manic Psychosis

This is the first part of my short autobiographical comic about psychosis in bipolar disorder. It was hard to write and even harder to post, but I decided to go for it, and I’m glad I did! In the end it felt good to put some of these feelings down on paper, and if this can help people understand a little more about what it’s like, or help those who’ve experienced it feel a little less alone, then it will all be worth it.

I hope everyone is kind and no one judges me too harshly for things I thought or did during mania (I’m well aware of how embarrassing some of this is haha). I also want to point out that I’m very lucky I’ve never had the cops called on me, and if I had, I would have likely been okay, which is not a privilege afforded to everyone who’s gone through this.

I’ll post the other parts here, but I also put it up in full on Gumroad as pay-what-you-want!
