Introductory Post? Introductory Post.
Good morning, good afternoon, or good night, my friends!
I've had Tumblr pretty much since I became minimally aware of social media, but after a hiatus, I thought it was a good time for a hard reset. So, here's a fresh start. :3
My name's Sam. I'm 22 years old and I try to keep as busy creatively as I can. I'm a puppeteer, writer, actor, lighting designer, sound designer, literally anything that will get me in a theatre space. I also have some experience programming 80s animatronics. Like I said, I don't like to sit still for long.
I'm currently in a relationship with my one and only soulmate. <3
Some of my interests include The Muppets/Sesame Street, Dinosaurs (1991), 80s/90s animatronics, and the Disney Duck Universe, but mainly Darkwing Duck (Launchpad has been my ride or die favorite fictional character since I was a kid). I have a BFA in theatre performance, and while it's not my full-time job yet, I'd like to imagine it will be someday. I'm still learning after about a year of puppeteering, but my dream job would be a Sesame Street puppeteer; my dream live show/role would be Kate Monster/Lucy in Avenue Q.
The puppets I currently work with are Petunia, Maven, and Bartleby. :)
Otherwise, there's not much to know about me! I like to write and doodle as hobbies, so I'll likely post some of that on here from time to time.
