i have in brain that won't leave.
Let me lay the backstory for guys.
-Abolish has the same backstory (aka parents dies,taken in by Morcant, Vampire hunter ect) But this was before Scott's big nap. He was sent on mission on taking care of Scott Goldsmith. He goes undercover in the Manor staff gathers information, goes for the kill. almost does it but Scott's whole "can't be killed by stake, because of a deal with a witch" is real. Abolish realizing that he can't do it leaves the castle after a bit of conflict (killing a bunch of Scott's coven)
Que a mutual obsession between the two of them for a century.
(Abolish gets turned by Vampire willingly. Like Morcant to make it simple)
Abolish being got on Scott because he is one of very few missions he couldn't complete.
Scott because that hot guy almost perma killed me.
What do i mean by obsession?
Both of them non stop thinking/talking of the other. To the point the people around both of them have assigned the other nicknames of "oh you mean Sire's Hunter" or "Oh you mean Veylock's Vampire".
Like someone brings up anything related to "failed missions" and Abolish goes on hour long rant about Scott. Same for Scott if anyone bring up anything vaguely related to Abolish
Both of trying to be in other business all the time.
I'm talking Scott going out of his castle and finishing/making Abolish job worse because how dare he spend his time on other people other than him. Abolish spending a lot of free time trying to come up with a way to perma kill Scott.
It gets to the point of if in the general Vampire community knows of the other they will think of the other. a set really
Then Scott gets put to sleep.... the fucker
Abolish is at first just confused on how it happens and not believing it. Until he goes to see it himself. And yep Scott is asleep.
Should he move on? most definitely. will he no of course not.
Not as often than before but he continues to the things he did as alive (research on how to kill Scott. And anything on him really. the guy has wall of red strings and sticky notes just for Scott) and once in few decades he goes and checks on Scott to see if he is still asleep.
Just starring at Scott's body for few hours. Not touching or anything weird just staring at the corpse for multiple hours. And talking at his corpse (Insults of course)
Eventually Abolish finds away to perma kill Scott. But... its not fair to kill a sleeping person. Scott has earned that much respect. He will wait for him to wake up then he will finally kill him (there is no other reason of course, why are sighing Morcant)
Eventually (about 600 years after Scott's curse) there are rumors of a Cure for Vampirims in Oakhurts. Its natural to send Abolish in there since he knows the lands well.
Image Abolish's surprise when he sees Scott fucking Goldsmith walking around the cursed town "alive" and awake. (He didn't think to bring what he needs to kill the man like a idiot)
After a reunion. that is like this (but smarter)
Scott: damm stalker. can't have peace anywhere.
Abolish: I had no idea. if knew would have had to hear your awful voice again. I would not be here. And you are aware of the fact that my life does not revolve around you Goldsmith
......Que the rest town coming to the conclusions that the two Have to be the most bitter messiest Exes ever. There is no other reason for the tensions.
Why the otherwise quiet and polite Abolish would be looking at Scott like he want to rip his throat open. (or the clothing if you ask M or Shelby) The fact that they are a Noble and Butler certainly doesn't help with the picture they paint.
What other reason would there be for the verbal sparing and clearly dirty talking (Abolish no one here knows you have actually held Scott's intestines in your hands, or that you have non perma killed him in many gruesome ways. And when you touch his neck you pointing to scars you have made. (Scott's actual flirting is not helping) )
Others from town do try to get details of what happen between them. Without outright asking it. Abolish has no idea what they are getting at. And is very confused. He is just trying his best to hide the fact that they are vampires. Scott figures out what the rest think and is feeding the rumors.
(not that there was any relationship between them sure Abolish is pretty to look at and fun to mess with annnd he wouldn't mind sharing a bed. But love, romance really (gods help these two repressed idiots))
The two do pretty quickly figure out the fact that they are trapped. And make a temporary alliance to get out. Not that it stops them from bickering like angry recently divorced couple. (the fact that they are seen whispering to each other and getting alone and out ear shot feeds the rumors even more.)
After Scott starts turning people (i can't see Abolish turning people willy nilly)
Abolish is just judging Scott's hiding skills and Sire-ing skills. he is not impressed
Abolish: no wonder your coven abandoned you if you treat your coven this badly
Scott's in Scott fashion starts love-bombing the fledglings.(i'm going with pyro and shelby for the fledglings )
The "Coven" is just the messily divorced Elders (Step sire Abolish) and the poor fledglings in the middle of their arguments.
Eventually Shelby asks Abolish what happened to make them brake up/Generally about their relationship . And the man blue-screens.
Wh- HIM- I. We have never dated what are talking about Also I'm not attracted to men?????????
Abolish runs to Scott to ask WTF is Shelby talking about. Scott of course just laughs in his face. not helping him at all. Eventually the coven explains the whole everyone in town think you two dated thing. While Abolish is just staring only half prepossessing this. Scott absolutely is just so amused that The Abolish Veylock had no idea that was happening and it has temporally broken the poor man.
I don't really know what else to add but that at some point these happen
-Scott pisses Abolish off so much that Abolish publicly decapitates him in front of at-least Pyro and Shelby. Afterwards Abolish just hands Scott a bunch of blood. He can't have weak allies. Scott doesn't act surprised at all. He is just like: Huh took you few month. I need to up my game, you do look so adorable when you murder me. The anger suits you darling
(This is point where everyone else realize/sinks in Oh They have actually really tried kill each other. Abolish has been giving Scott death threats, not weird flirting (joke on them its a mix of both not that Abolish knows that) )
-Abolish tells/threatens Scott that he know: Who his Sire is, how to perma kill him, A bunch of really creepy stalker stuff No Normal Person Would Look For. Like how did you even think of looking for that information and how did you find it???
(This just turns Scott on tbh)
-Abolish and Scott are a terrifying team the town never had a chance. Knowing your now ally so well that fighting between the two of you looks like dance/choreographed. And knowing the other so well you can communicate without speaking. The town best strategy is to slip the two apart.
-It would be funny if Cleo somehow knows of their beef. and nothing else that is actually useful
-The human try to get the other to rant about the other to gather information. And it becomes very clear that both Scott and Abolish are super repressed. Yeah they are in love they both are also stupid. (I'm talking about Abolish in rant going on wayyy too much detail on Scott's hands. like he talk about them for 10 minutes. And he doesn't realize it???? somehow. And Scott just Describing Abolish in way that straight from romance novel. )
-At some point the fact that both of Abolish's and Scott's Sire's are alive becomes public knowledge. aka the town needs to somehow perma kill those two. yeeaaaah As a said Town/human never had change
-At the very end they do end up heatedly making out. BUT they don't get together when they are out (Cure books acquired ob Abolish is here for them after all).
Morcant is so done with listening to Abolish about Scott.
They end up in a weird will they won't they, enemies with benefit, only i can harm him type of mess for a Century.
until l everyone around them had enough and lock them in small room not letting them out until they solve their issues. Or manage to kill the other.
I just want messy Crossfangs dammit. Someone who can write dialogue please use this as inspo i'm begging you.
