I realized... For Deidara, he has modified his own eye. Only using it with his eye scope, or for stopping genjutsu. He does need to close one eye to use the other.

He pretty much goes around using one eye most of the time. That leaves him with less depth perception and Peripheral Vision. Which it would affect artists. But Deidara molds his clay with his mouth, leaving it mostly to his tongues. He doesn't need to see what he is doing to have his art pieces how he wants them to. I also wonder if he's putting his chakra, to make his clay pieces into explosives, helps him shape the clay better? Like giving them a structure inside.

Something very impressing in Naruto is knowing how many things other ninjas are doing even if we eventually discount it.
