Can I have some marshmellows too? lol. Anyway... pull over a log to sit at the campfire with me, 'cause here I go off on my weekly wip game ramble. 😉 So, the McShep vs Kolya is my latest child wip. He was such a good villain in canon, and yet his end was so underwhleming for me. Guess I kind of wanted for it to hurt both John and Kolya more. I mean, come on, a single bullet shot? No real Shep whump to lead to it? Also... eww... Lucius. lol What got this story started however wasn't the above. No. It sprung from a mean brainwave I had. Of some random villain hoisting John up on his toes to torture him... and using Rodney to do the actually lifting, by forcing him to hold said rope/chains. At the threat of worse pain for John. Death even. What can I say? The European heatwave brought out my love for whump and stories loaded with angst. Hehe. Of course our favourite idiots in love are not yet lovers... and yet... this is where their truth is coming out. Despite their best efforts to not show their captor slash torturer. Yes! That's where Kolya comes in, because who better to push the McShep buttons and exploit their weaknesses (being the other) to torment them over being lovers? But, that's also where he's digging his own grave... because there's no one more dangerous than a cornered John Sheppard trying to save his man, yes... that's Rodney. Duh.

Ah, the poor thing. I've neglected him for so long, too long, 'cause on the day I go back to this wip I need to reread everything. Three chapters and change worth of words so far... all written as the mood for dub-con (at best) struck. Now? I gotta veer off towards plot. Closure. A rescue, or maybe an escape... or a little bit of both. How to finish this one? I paused in the middle of making notes for chapter 4. Sat with them for a bit. Took a break to return and look at them with fresh eyes... and here we are. Oops. Distractions huh? Fluff crept in. Other universes too... (glares at merman!John)... and I still don't know what my endgame for this one is going to be, other then a McShep reunion of course. But will John immediately recognise Rodney? Will Rodney have to buy John back or trade him for something (or dare I say it, someone else)? What if he walks in on John serving his master? Or has John - who has dreamt of freedom - escaped off into the desert? Is that where Ronon Rodney will find him? So many choices to make. Also, upon his return to Atlantis; how much has the experience changed John? What of his (bdsm) sex drive? His need to submit? How he likes it rough too? Can Rodney accept him for all of the above or does it stand in between them for a bit? I have way too many questions and too few answers I am ready to settle upon, so there... this is why I ran to hide and sulk. MOOD. Will I get back to it? Yes, but not while my brain is in scatter mode. 😉

Hmm... not sure yet if I can get my scatter brain to work on anything other than the shiny new toy, aka Kolya hurting the McShep, but I will promise to give the Telepathic McShep some thought at least. 😉 In the meanwhile. Have an unedited snippet from the opening scene of the whumped McShep fic, this one is from John's pov. Dazed, John reaches out his bruised fingers of bleeding knuckles at the man lying by his side. McKay. Out cold. He tries to blink open his eyes to do an inventory of the what and where, but he winces over the one that's swollen closed and how it refuses to budge. Ugh. Angered, but undeterred, he eyes Rodney up with his good eye… feeling out for a pulse even as the cart around him bumps up against then bounces over yet another stray rock on the dirt track. Cursing when he hits his back against the side of his primitive ride, John tries to sit up, but an elbow knocks him into the face. Pain shooting through his temple as the world greys out. Fucker! Again?!
