It’s okay if your system’s experience is different from the textbook definitions and diagnoses! Neurodivergency in general is so vast and it’s impossible to say what one disorder should look like for everybody. You may not tick off all the boxes for all of the diagnostic criteria, you may have experiences that aren’t usually considered in diagnostic criteria, but we do not define ourselves by the generalized ideas of a book. The unique way that your system functions should be embraced, and your experiences and thoughts are a welcome part of the community.
