a lot about the visual dictionary was a let down so i channelled my sad into a quiet redesign and got carried away, as usual haha. my absolute bias is the dragon heist official art of him, i loved that armour design for jarlaxle - i like the shape of his hat, the colour scheme, the vague napoleonic-esque references buuut he has a long history and some cracker character development across the whole legend of drizzt books and his outfits are a good way to visually reflect that so i'm trying to stray from my firm love of that WDH style for him (i don't think i was successful at all tbh but you get points for trying right?) for this colour scheme i stuck mostly with the purple as i noticed the baenre family portrait had them all wearing red/black/gold, while jarlaxle is in purple/brown/black/gold, and i liked that visually, he's distinguished as Not Belonging. i plan to properly line and colour a final outfit design, though i am not sure yet if it will be a refined version of one of these, or a frankenstein of the elements i like best but for now pls enjoy my coping strategy. at some point, i'd like to tackle artemis properly and others i either didn't gel with (gromph and quenthal) or were missing (kimmuriel) but i have the base for jarlaxle already done so he's easier to whip up.
