uk, if it was any other team or player, I’d brush off the heat and cramp and health issues as just innefficient conditioning or something like that, but this is Jannik we’re talking about, same Jannik who wants to change his serve in the middle of the season, same Jannik who doesn’t hesitate to say it like it is when speaking about what he needs to improve.
He also has an incredible team around him who make no lazy attempts at helping him progress his game and mind and everything they can, so this is why I cannot adopt the lazy excuses people are using saying “oh his team needs to find a solution” acting as if him and his team aren’t some of the most hard working in the sport. You don’t get to Jannik’s level by being complacent, and that is why I get scared because if there was a straightforward solution I know they would have done it already.
But like both Darren and Simone keep mentioning, Jannik’s peak as a tennis player will be reached in the next years to come, so it shows they’re hopeful he can overcome this issue.
His career is going to be a hopefully long and amazing one and it is so admirable how far he has come already and in the little time since he has actually started producing the results the world expects of him now.
