my colleague is driving me fucking crazy she was dating this narcissist who kept going back and forth between her and his WIFE until she (my colleague) finally refused to take him back for like a year during which she dated other (still toxic) guys and then the narcissist came back and asked her to marry him and she accepted even tho everyone was like girl this is a terrible idea. now she keeps complaining that he’s so hot and cold, she can’t keep up with what’s going on and asking me for strategic advice on how to fix it and i keep being like “yeah that’s gonna be what it is for as long as you’re with him unfortunately. you’re either just gonna have to accept it and weather the ups and downs or leave him. i vote leave him” but she keeps coming back to me to complain everyday and saying she can’t take it anymore and im like. what do you want me to say girl. he doesn’t do shit for you, you’re unhappy with him, he’s moody and mean, what are you getting out of this!!! and what do you want me to say!!! girl you’re being abused. this is abuse. im terribly sorry and i wish you weren’t in this position but i genuinely don’t know what to say. you’re not dependent on him so leave. free yourself. but she doesn’t want to hear that so ive stopped saying it. now when she says she thinks he’ll leave her im like “great, let him go, you’ll be better for it” but i know he’s not going to go bc narcissists never do until you kick them to the curb and shut the door yourself. so now what.

If you line up his year so far with the past 2 years, by this point of the season in 2024 he was 42-4. He’s 44-3 now. Two more wins, one fewer loss. 1 slam each. 1 masters vs 5 masters. 4 titles total (including 2 500s) vs 6 titles (all big). 2025 was obviously affected by the suspension, but he was 26-3 after wimbledon. To get to a similar number of wins, you have to push up all the way to shanghai, which brings him to 43-6. He’s literally on track to have the most successful season of his career, so I think I’m gonna trust that he and his team know what they’re doing and that they’re doing something right.
