Hey Simblr Friends!

Obviously I've been out of commission for several months. My school semester has been INSANE and I'm afraid the Spring semester will be the same. I have been so busy I haven't even played the sims in at least two months! :-( Hopefully I'll have some time to sim with you all when winter break starts in a few weeks.

Hi Sarra! I miss you too! I've been incredibly busy this entire school semester and so I haven't had any time to play the sims in months! I hope you're doing well!

So, I the internet connection was supposed to be set up in my new place by now, but of course, there's a problem with it. Apparently, they may have to replace my phone jacks with new ones, which might not be approved by my landlord so... it's all a mess. As such, I am without connection of any kind (I can't even get data service on my phone!) for the next few days. Thanks to all who sent positive vibes to me yesterday. I'll just be glad when this mess is all sorted out and things go back to normal.

In my defense, I still don't know exactly what happened. I was standing over the stove, looking out the window, and I remember feeling incredibly tired... I just closed my eyes for a minute...

Surprisingly, it was the first time I'd set anything on fire (despite what some of the old gossips in my hometown might believe.) I really am capable of cooking macaroni for pete's sake, I swear.

Luckily, a cute (although oddly eerie) boy named Derek saved the day by blasting the flame with the extinguisher while I looked on in terror. I could tell upon chatting with him that he was a supernatural of some sort, but I didn't think it polite to inquire about it.

He knew I was a friend, though. Liberal-lavender-haired-rebellious-types like me are just the kind of humans that supers need on their side right now. Plus, even if I were bigoted towards supers... he saved my life.

After my first class, I had another one immediately after, which was Fundamentals of Music History 102. Since it was directly related to my major, I had a much better time in class, but it still wasn't everything I'd hoped for or anything. Freshman classes are supposed to suck, right?

As expected, the next morning I was utterly exhausted. I also managed to wake up late, so things were off to a great start. I grabbed my backpack (praying that everything I'd need was inside) and literally ran out the door... and down the sidewalk... and past groups of staring students...

Amanda convinced me to chug something out of a red can, which I later learned to be an energy drink of some kind. I was wired for the rest of the night, but also a bit hazy... apparently at one point I danced on the coffee table and nearly broke a floor lamp. Oh well.

After a few more hours, I hopped on my bike and headed back to the dorm. I knew I had something to do, but in my caffeine induced stupor it was eluding me... oh yea!

When I arrived, the part was definitely in full swing. Just inside the foyer, an unexpectedly appealing gentleman called Cid approached me. His ruffled blue hair was tucked beneath a gray beanie, and I absolutely enjoyed his company. He told me about an on campus group calling themselves "The Rebels" who were always looking for new members to "fight against the mainstream." He didn't have to push to gain my interest.

After Cid and I parted ways, I danced with a girl named Amanda, who had some of the coolest dreads I'd ever seen. They weren't exactly common back home or anything, but I'm somewhat of a hair aficionado (if you will) and I must say I was impressed.

Just then, my phone jingled with the sound of an incoming text message. Someone named Rex Lovelace had sent me:

1st frat paaaaarty 2nite. B there or b square. Will have juize kegger! Bring it, freshmen!

How charming. Naturally, I couldn't resist such a hospitable offer (and the potential to make some quick cash tutoring Mr. Lovelace in grammar) so I responded.

Count me in, Rexy.

Upon arriving at the Union, I was harassed greeted by our faithful llama mascot, an experience that was supposed to bring forth school pride (or so I've seen on television.) It mostly just made me uncomfortable. He (or she, I suppose) directed me towards a big display table full of free goodies, which I loaded up on. Home girl loves her a custom free coffee mug.

I met a girl named Anne, who had spunky red and blonde hair tucked beneath a baseball cap, and at first I thought she could be a friend. I quickly found that wasn't the case when she chastisted me for my interest in the arts. Apparently, "business is the only way to go in this economy." 

ABBEYYYYY I KNOWWWWW. I SWEAR to you I am going to get back to it soon. I just need a break, again, because I'm trying to figure up how exactly I'm going to wrap up season one. Plus, I've been trying to work on a special thing for an upcoming story moment and it's been giving me grief. It's gonna happen I promise promise promise and I won't be playing Mara forever. I'm probably just going to finish Uni with her and then either put her on hold or put her up for DL so people can do more with her if they want.
