I bring you a color trait collab between myself, the talented @pforestsims and color trait inventor @episims โค I thought it was long overdue our sims get some nicer looking stools for their beloved kiddos, and PF and Epi were kind enough to join me on this mission :3
PForest has has created two default options, one made out of wood, one made out of plastic. Epi made an alternative set of recolors for the plastic with a cute star pattern. We love choices! But please note that you can only use one default, so pick which type you want out of the zip.
Wood
Plastic
Plastic with star pattern
Stools are created in a lot of places, for this reason I created a custom global that assigns color based on trait. If the child has no favorite color, the wooden stool will be brown, and the plastic will be green. If the child has multiple favorite colors, whichever appears first in inventory will be used.
Please note that some custom objects will not pick up on color traits, this is due to how they are coded. At the end of the post you'll find a tutorial on how to update them to pick up on the mod ๐
Requires Picknmix's trait global, and I highly encourage using color traits by Epi to see the full scope of this.
Download from SFS
Conflicts: None that we have found, but the mod touches 47 different bhavs so there may be conflicts out there. They are easy to fix though so if you find one you are welcome to report and I will create a compatibility patch. New custom global uses instance 0x0CE5.
Credits: @picknmixsims for the BHAV Finder, always a great modding asset but especially so for this project.
Decorative stools
If you ask me, PF's meshes are too cute to only see for brief moments in animations! So for those who would like some cute clutter in bathrooms and kitchens, we have decorative versions of the stool on offer. They come with a deco slot, so you can put plants or perhaps a stuffed animal on one for even more cuteness.
Download from SFS
Found in surface/misc. Plastic costs 55, wood costs 75.
Read below the cut for how to fix custom objects that fail to pick up on color traits!
Fixing Custom Objects
Likely objects to need fixing are things like easels, custom cakes and some appliances. I don't know if there are clones of medicine cabinets or teleprompter-type career objects, but if there are those likely need it as well.
I recommend Picknmix's Bhav Finder for this, because it saves you manually scrolling through every bhav to find where the stool is summoned.
1. To start, navigate to the custom object package you are fixing.
2. Use the drop down on OpCode to select 0x2A Create New object Instance.
3. Enter the numbers of the picture into the first four boxes of Operands. Leave the rest empty.
4. Click "Find BHAVs". The program will scan your object and tell you which bhavs in it (if any) summon the stool.
5. In this case I did a custom easel, and found that the stool is summoned in a Bhav called "Paint - Create Child Stool". Take note of the name, and head to SimPE.
If your bhav contains multiple Create New Instance lines, make sure you pick the one with the correct GUID, 0x22555949. If you accidentally add the bhav to a line not creating the stool but something else, the result would in most instances be an error. So keep a backup of the original so you can start over if needed ๐ But please don't be put off, bhavs are not scary! And this is not hard. You can do it!
Tiny note to creators! If you want to incorporate this with your upload, keep in mind you need to offer separate versions for those who use the mod and those who don't because it will otherwise cause bad gosub error due to the custom global ๐

How to make clothes for The Sims 3 using AI - Without Milkshape, just blender. A CRAZY TUTORIAL by Artxiesta.
First, open Blender.
put the base body in your blender.
print your screen your result is like this:
2
put de print on gemini:
A prompt like this:
English:
Create an image of an outfit as if it were being worn by this bodyโmaintaining the same proportions and poseโbut without hands or feet; please do not render the body itself (leave it invisible/absent). I want a stylish pink and white men's outfitโa shirt and 80s-style trousersโalong with a small bag, featuring a "dark romance" aesthetic, set against a solid white background.
PT-BR:
its important de white solid background
After a few prompts, this was my final result.
Yeah, that's really fun.
After:
now you here 3 options
1 Copilot by microsoft is free for gen 3d clothes
2 meshy 6 paid with free credits but better experience
4 tripo paid with free credits but better resultad
use smart 3600.
go to next step guy :3 >> Just click in generate is easy easy like take a vhs phorography aah haghahha!
After you generate de mesh go to gen texture
There you goโyou've just generated an amazing outfit.
Before anyone starts complaining or getting on a soapbox about the use of AI in The Sims community, let me just say that creating things with AI is more legitimate than stealing other creators' meshes and converting them. Unlike many Roblox creators who steal meshes from The Sims creators to sell them, the work here is legitimate and originalโlike it or not.
Let's follow the tutorial.
download your obj with textures and unzip and put your mesh in blender:
The mesh will come like thisโalready in the same pose and body proportionsโso it will be very easy to adjust.
Let's do a bit of sculpting just to remove the excess that ended up on the inside.
in tool simetry active X
tool in the right panel of your blender viewport
ok
the AI UV is horrible
but i have a secret
a addon
all resources in final of post ok
first ctrl + D in mesh to duplicate.
select the first mesh and the second a copy and click in bake in 1 click on advanced texture baking.
Lets go <3
open a sims 3 uv map and adjust.
You need to create a second UV set to transfer the texture from one to the other via bakingโokay?
Maybe when you adjust your UVs, it might look bad, and that's okay.
in your shader conect your first uv in your texture with uv map node
The texture of your clothing will return to normal; now we will set up the second UVโwhich needs to match the firstโby implementing the following nodes:
a new texture node and a new uv node with the uv apprentice
The new texture node must remain selected after the bake:
now bake:
ready <3
now save and mix the clothe with the body obj all resources in the final:
rename the UVMap.001 to UVMap
and remove the vertices of under the clothes *in body and save join with the body mesh
Select first the clothe
Press shift
And select the cloth and control J
now your unique object in scene group_base
In the end, we'll have something like this.
export to obj and
go to mesh tool kit:
go to obj tools
open your obj and rename standart wso to default to group_base
now in conversion tool on same program put your object and your wso reference
all itens in final of posts ok is a promisse
click in converte
ready
Now, just two very simple little things: go to "Auto Tools for WSO" and follow the same processโfirst "Auto-Assign Bones," then "Auto-Create Morphs." Of course, select the mesh and pay close attention to each step, as you will be creating different meshes.
The first WSO generates a new WSO, which generates another, and so on in sequence until the final one is produced; the reference remains the same throughout.
Almost everything is ready; now let's put this into our gameโI can't wait to test it.
select a fullbody
THE TEXTURE XD Iiimport the png in photopea.com
and export to dds like here :3
make a new texture full grey, hahaha
It's going to look something like this.
save the package and put in your game.
The outfit is ready.
click in file, save as, chagen workshop project to .package and save.
Youโve now learned how to convert AI-generated clothing for The Sims 3; thanks to this tutorial, you can create clothes without relying on Milkshapeโsimply by creating an .obj file. Iโm so happy to have helped you. Weโll be friends forever.
Wake up, babe, new Sims 3 performance mod just dropped!
First things first, DOWNLOAD HERE So that the link doesn't get drowned in text. Now, about what this new thing is, here's the copy of my Nexus description:
Independent of myย ASI mod, but the two stack up together nicely to reduce slowdowns and memory issues in general, so it's highly recommended.
By default, the game creates about 80 UI "windows" used for displaying previews, EP badges etc. This is highly inefficient and causes catalogues (build/buy, CAS, create-a-style) to slow down to a crawl with lots of items, and also causes memory runoff upwards of hundreds of megabytes. Only a fraction of this memory gets released. What's worse, opening the same catalogues repeatedly could cause memory usage to grow even more. This is the definition of a memory leak.ย
The main mod here is a simple LAYO mod (no code) that reworks how the game's catalogue window creation works. It doesn't eliminate all its slowdowns/memory footprint, but it makes the catalogues noticeably faster and significantly less memory-intensive.
CC-HEAVY DECOR: ALL MEMORY WITHOUT MOD:
CC-HEAVY DECOR: ALL MEMORY WITH MOD:
The downside is that the LAYO mod causes EP badges to disappear, so there's an optional complementary file (requiresย MonoPatcher), if you wish to see them restored. It doesn't seem to always work reliably, and you may need to switch to a different catalogue section and return for the badges to show up. Let me know how it works for you. Also,ย only one badge displays at a time based on priority, so a CC item with an EP origin would show the CC badge. This is necessary, not a bug.
NOTE: The optional file requiresย onlyย the .PACKAGE part of MonoPatcher.ย MONOPATCHER IS A FRAMEWORK AND IS COMPATIBLE WITH EVERYTHING. ANY THEORETICALย INCOMPATIBILITIES ARE ENTIRELY WITH SPECIFIC PATCHES IT LOADS.ย Let me know if my patch conflicts with any other mods.
Methods replaced in the optional file:
Sims3.UI.CustomContentIcon.set_ContentType
Sims3.UI.CustomContentIcon.UpdateAllWindows()
No incompatibilities that I've found. I don't use custom UI mods, but other people who've tested the mod found it working with their custom UI.
Note that the before and after screenshots use my memory measurement from a personal debugging ASI, you won't get that little window with this mod. You can use Sims 3 Settings Setter or Process Explorer if you want stats for nerds and to check your memory usage.

With DXVK and S3SS living their high days, older Sims 3 installment guides are rapidly starting to become outdated. So here's a brand new and up-to-date step-by-step guide to go through when you do a fresh install of your game that will help you get the best performance you could possibly imagine for this old and laggy gem of a game.
Have Sims 3 installed, but is it performing abhorrently? I highly recommend a fresh install. You don't have to delete your saves or mods. Just get yourself a fresh bin to work with by uninstalling, going into your program files The Sims 3 folder and deleting any remnant files still in there. Then follow my guide!
All of the steps to follow are below the line ->
Step 1: install your game through your respected platform.
Just follow the regular steps and install the game without adding any other stuff yet whatsoever.
(I personally have a legit copy of the Sims 3 on Steam. If you use another app and have any questions, I'll probably not be able to help you.)
Step 2: run the game once through the official launcher. Once you get to the main menu, you can quit again.
It is very important you run your game through the original launcher at least once after installing it. Not doing so can cause problems with programs like CC magic. You only need to do it the first time. After that, we'll be skipping the launcher entirely.
Step 3: Create a short cut of TS3W.exe on your desktop.
You'll be skipping the launcher from now on. This helps with performance and it starts up your game much faster. It is also important to do this because of DXVK.
You can find TS3W.exe in your bin folder. For me (Steam version) it's in this location:
Right click TS3W.exe, click 'show more options' and choose 'create a shortcut'. Place this shortcut on your desktop and Run Sims 3 from there from now on.
Step 4: Run the GPU Add-on Support patcher
You can find this patcher here. It is essential to run this because Sims will otherwise not recognize your graphics card unless it's over 10 years old. This patcher helps to get your GPU recognized.
The patcher will create a new Graphicsrules.sgr and new Graphicscards.sgr for you in your bin folder. After installing this, you can move the ones that have _old behind them somewhere else (or delete them).
Step 5: Install DXVK
Make sure you follow step one of this guide (will add my own instructions here later).
I'd say DXVK is pretty essential nowadays, especially if you have a modern graphics card with 6GB of VRAM or higher. It'll greatly help to keep your game stable and can prevent a lot of crashes. The way Dxvk works, is that it loads textures through your VRAM instead of your RAM. Especially when you use a lot of CC or HD textures, this will make a huge difference for your RAM usage. Sims 3 can only use 4GB of RAM at once and will start crashing once you hit the 3GB mark in your task manager. With DXVK, you will use a lot less RAM and it'll take much longer for your game to reach this hard cap.
When not to install DXVK: if you have a shitty GPU (like an integrated graphics card on a laptop, or one with 4GB of VRAM or less).
Step 6: Start up the game
Use your new desktop shortcut that also has 'run as administrator' permissions now if you followed the DXVK guide properly.
Step 7: set up all your settings through the ingame options menu
The best graphics settings for you will highly depend on what computer you're using. But there are some things you should always turn off because they negatively affect performance. I will share my (relevant) settings with you (I use a custom UI so your screen style will look a little different from mine). Click on the images to enlarge them so you can read them:
Things of note about these settings:
I recommend you play in windowed mode, especially if you plan to use ReShade. Playing fullscreen is possible, but it does make Reshade presets behave differently in your game. I will include a step in this guide that you can follow to play windowed borderless. So, when you plan to do this: make sure you set the resolution to your display resolution.
Enable object hiding helps with performance. Advanced rendering is essential because otherwise your game looks like absolute shit.
Set your High Detail Lots to any value between 2 and 4. Don't go lower or higher, because you'll get rendering issues that lag out your game.
All other graphics settings can be set to your heart's desire. I'd say start with the highest settings and only go down if you notice your frames per second are bad.
Disable shop mode and lessons and fully disable memories or use this mod to severly limit them. Disable interactive loading screens as well. These are all performance eaters. Interactive loading screen also causes crashes. Memories also don't do anything for your sim, it's just a scrap book with no in-game effects.
Disable any online mode feature. This also lags out your game. Unless you really want to use these features it's best to just play fully offline.
Save your settings, close the game again.
Step 8: Install Sims 3 Settings Setter
This is the most recent magic genie that Sims 3 was blessed with. Especially combined with DXVK it is a life changer. Installing it is simple. You download the most recent version here and drop the .asi file in your bin. Also grab 'wininet.dll' from here (the 32 bit one) and drop that one in your bin too.
Start up your game and load up a save. Once you're inside your save, you press 'insert' to open up the menu for Sims 3 Settings Setter. Go to the 'patches' tab and enable what you like. These are my enabled patches and they all work really well for me, but feel free to experiment with them to find your own performance sweet spot:
Only enable uncompressed textures if you have a GPU with at least 8gb of VRAM. My game will use over 6gb of VRAM easily with this enabled, so you've been warned.
Once you have everything you desire enabled, press 'file' in the top left corner and click 'save settings'.
Step 8.5: if you're playing windowed mode: go into the Other/QoL tab and enable 'Borderless Window'. Set it to 'Full Screen'.
Save your settings and close your game again. No need to save the game you entered for this unless you want to.
Step 9: Install Nraas Errortrap, MasterController and Overwatch
These 3 mods by Nraas are pretty much essential to keep your game from breaking down in the long run. You can download the mods here. Have you never installed a mod for Sims 3 before? Here's a guide (skip the part about Sims3pack and go straight to the part where it explains how to install .package mods).
That's it! You can now play The Sims 3 and it'll be as smooth and stable as it'll ever be. From here on, you can stock your game with more mods and CC (check out my mods masterlist!), or you can install Reshade (here's a guide).
Some important things to keep in mind while playing:
Clean up your game regularly. You can easily do this by using Regul Save Cleaner.
When you install a new mod or update/change Sims 3 Settings Setter, always restart and clear your caches.
Use CC Magic for installing CC, because it merges your files and this really helps with performance. Here's a handy guide on how to use it. Don't put your script mods in here, just your CC.
If you plan to travel to vacation destinations in the EP World Adventures, Nraas Traveler is a must to prevent most of the bugs and crashes that happen in this expansion.
Always keep in mind: mods and corrupt CC can still break your game, make it laggy or unplayable. Always be mindful of the mods you add, so you can always trace any issues you're having back to the mod causing it. I highly recommend not downloading a ton of mods in one session, but adding them step by step and see what they do to your games performance.
Use 'Reset the entire town' from Nraas MasterController at least every other sim week. It'll help clear up any lag that happens because of NPC sims getting themselves stuck routing or annoying stuff like that.
Got a slow CAS? Use Nraas MasterController Compact mode! (Make sure you have the Nraas MasterController Integration module installed).
Navigate to NRaas > MasterController > Settings > CAS.
Wake up, babe, new Sims 3 performance mod just dropped!

After six months of depression and anxiety, I bring TS2 CC!
I was decorating a cafรฉ and wanted some deco food for it, so I decided to convert some of TS4 pastries.
They're a bit low poly/low res but personally I think they look okay unless you really zoom in on free cam mode.
They're all on Appliances > Misc cause it's where I categorize my deco food. Pictures of all recolors under the cut :)
Credits: The ribbon thingy in the thumb image is designed by starline/Freepik and I used some of budgie2budgie extracted deco food (instead of extracting myself) cause I don't have the TS4 EPs installed anymore.
Custom dinner dish, partially based on Tofu Steaks from Cooking Mama game. Large serving: 2490 poly, single portion: 1194 poly. Prepared by chopping / oven baking. Difficulty: five cooking points.
Includes translations: GER, FRA, PL, SWE, FIN, RUS and BrazilianPortuguese.
If you have older ๐ดโโ ๏ธ version of The Sims 2, your game may be missing some animations or related STR. Errors typically report: "Animation name is empty string". I was getting these when directing my Sims to brush teeth & wash face interactions for both medicine cabinets.
Epi @episims kindly extracted entire bunch of cabinet anims & related STR resources which fixed the problem for me. If you need it, it's here:
When I saw those Ostrich Feather Stands by Pixelplayground I started immediately to convert the beauties. Then I realized that there isnโt much matching content in my game. The result is a huge set that I share now.

This is kinda embarassing! Back in Sept 2022 I fixed an issue with the 0x0CA4 "Money - Pay Owner" global to make it actually give the money to the business owner and not some random Sim.
Then I completely forgot to update my web site! Ooops! (Proves I am actually a human.)

A maneki-neko with cute custom animation meow~~ <3
I've been planning to make this for a long time for my Japanese-style restaurant, but back then I wasn't familiar with converting yet. Now I've finally been able to complete it :D
You can turn on or off the animation.
Found in the Small Appliances.
Poly count: 7k9
Converted & edited from Animal Crossing Pocket Camp by SimderTalia
I wanted to open a Giftshop in Strangetown and I went with these conversions... and then it spiraled out of control ๐ฝ
So here's 27 new Objects โจ I kept making recolors and adding objects to justify the set, until it grew big and took time. All the crystal objects (including the flowers) are glowy to feel more alien, I added a whole lot of recolors to so many objects... including 55 posters !
The Geode looks really good in game ๐
Litttlecakes' Area 51 set can be found here, and Strange Clutters here. The original Merch Band set can be found here, by Simdertalia. The original Crystal Geode is found here, by fakepikachu. Everything is low poly and basegame compatible. A collection file is included in the download for convenience.
Full object list and extra previews are waiting under the cut โ
๐ญ So I added recolors to the Conspiracy Mugs (6), All 3 Alien Figurines/Plushies (16, in Nyren Kosmik Palette) and the hanging Alien Display T-Shirt (19).
For the I Want To Believe, I added 55 (!) new swatches, where the text is photoshop in Simlish whenever it was possible. ๐ธ โจ I used artworks from this blog, which showcase 70s Scifi and fantasy art and book covers, so there should be no AI. I added a picture in swatch order, if you want to pick and choose.
The Conspiracy Posters uses some of the above artwork, and there are 10 new swatches too.
I did not convert Simdertalia's entire Band Merch set, only the boxes and T-shirts. I mainly wanted the ๐ Box Rolled Posters, and added recolors (11), but tbh, they are so-so, I'm sorry.
All the Folded T-Shirts are repo'd to Folded T-Shirt 1. All the Boxes are repo'd to Box Rolled Posters.
Then I converted the ๐ฎ Crystal Geode, and worked really hard with the TXMT to give it that reflective Geode look. It's a bit more intense outside, but it's so pretty, and I'm glad it worked. I added a picture to showcase all the swatches. One of my favourite conversion to date.
You do need a copy of LordCrumpโs Shadow Files for the shadows to work though, but I have included a copy in the zip, as always.
That's it. I feel this simple conversion grew and grew over the months, and maybe some of the objects had previously been converted, but I hope I added a little touch more. Happy Simming ๐ ๐
