Blackswan's Sims 2 CC Finds

I want to build a record store. Don’t we all want to build record stores? I bet we do!

So we’re obviously very grateful to @litttlecakes, who made this absolutely outstanding set for audiophiles and record stores and now I’m sharing as much of it as I can with you.

That means! You get the Retro Tunes design on three meshes, the Three 3s mesh, the Hollywood Print and @linacheries conversion of Simza’s National Park Prints. The smaller square Rock Band posters are on the It’s Reggae Mon and the Inverted Vertigo mesh. The carpet recolors are on @tenlittlepandas Magic Carpet conversion. All the neat little wall stickers are on Aikea’s Half-Height Wall Writing (There’s 25! I made some combinations.)

I’ve included all the meshes, and swatches, and everything’s compressed.

Special Bonus Time! Since I 100% made this set to decorate a record store, it was clear I also needed these neat “Join our Band” fliers by @budgie2budgie. They’re on the same mesh as the stickers.

Spaik Erica Modular Stairs Made Recolorable

The script file for these stairs has been updated thanks to @nosferatusim and the name and description now show in catalog. Changing the file name of the stairs will cause this info to not be read by the catalog!

There has been interest in finding scripts for these modular stairs recently (the blue, rust, green, and red versions) and that made me think that I'd really like to have them be recolorable. So I decided to learn something new.

@hugelunatic has a great tutorial HERE that I slowly and carefully worked my way through and after a number of failed attempts- success! I couldn't get the name, description, and price to show in the catalog, but the stairs are there and work!

BTW, if you want to put them next to a wall as shown, you have to recolor them first, then place the wall. Otherwise, they don't recolor - even if you remove the wall.

Installation: Place in your downloads folder.   Place script text file in your Scriptorium_ModularStairs folder in your Downloads folder.    -or- Append your C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\The Sims 2\TSData\Res\Catalog\Scripts\modularstairs.txt file with the contents of the script file included in the package.

To Use:

Place stairs normally

recolor before placing the railings

Use Recolor tool to recolor individual stairs - if having difficulty with 2nd step, go down one floor.

Guys I have a problem. I finished a tiny request, but when I went to upload it I thought this isn't much of an offering. So then I thought, I know. I'll just make a few quick recolors of the TSS set I made awhile ago. Anyway that's how this happened.

Add-On Meshes

Elite Bed Bookcase Headboard Since this set did not come with a double bed, and the single bed did not look very "teen" to me, I chopped the hutch off of the desk and mangled it into a bookshelf headboard. The headboard is just decorative, and does not have any slots. It's also kind of a pain to use. You have to pull it out of the wall one quarter-tile, and that requires the move_objects on cheat. After that is done it works normally though and I think it's really cute. It pulls its colors from the Fine Finish Desk and maxis bedding.

Elite Bookcase Short The kid looking single bed needed a kid-friendly bookcase so I chopped it in half. It only comes in emptied, but it is still a functioning bookcase. As with all short bookcases, animations will be wonky but it will function as usual. Pulls textures from The Better Bookshelf.

Elite Desk No Hutch I wanted a more simple version of this desk than even the emptied version, so I cut the hutch off. Pulls its texture from the hutched original.

Elite End Table Drawers Just for the sake of more options. Has one slot on top. This is a diced and reassembled version of the desk's drawers, and pulls its textures from the desk.

Recolors

Couture Clothing Chest Seven solid colors, plus nineteen dual tones (color 04A is pictured in the preview). The animations for this object are broken; I recommend the fix by Lord Darcy

Fit for Royalty Single Bed This will recolor the mesh as-is, but I highly recommend this default replacement by HugeLunatic.

The Better Bookshelf These recolors will appear for the main bookcase, as well as any emptied versions (including mine) and my new short bookcase from this set.

Fine Finish Desk These recolors will appear for the main desk, as well as my emptied version and my new hutchless version from this set.

Ahead of the Table Dining Chair Seven solid colors for the frame, seven mix and matchable striped colors for the seat, plus a white seat recolor.

Subtle Touch End Table Seven solid colors.

You're So Vanity Seven solid colors for the frame and seven mix and matchable striped colors for the seat cushion. These recolors will appear for any add-ons, including the one tile version.

Princess Shelf Emptied These recolors will only work for my custom wall shelf mesh, and you will need the mesh from this post.

The Request

And now the reason I'm posting. This is a simple deco railing set to typical foundation height. The mesh was modified from the Stairway to Eleven (non-modular) staircase, and contains in the mesh package a steel and a black recolor that match my fences from last post. I would have repositoried it to something but the StE's railing is not recolorable, and fences are...fences. Anyway. It is placeable anywhere and should not interfere with sims, objects, or routing. Single version only since it will place correctly on either side without cheats.

Anto Margo 4t2 LilRoisin

Another Anto hair with bicolors! Thinking of doing a whole dump of Anto hairs at some point.

This is a conversion of the electrical box from The Sims 4 and it's functional! Just like in City Living, the box has a chance of spawning a collectible poster. Unlike in City Living, the actual poster you're going to get is visible on the box. Your Sims can grab the poster from the back to collect.

Trapping’s HeadbandHip3t2 done in Volatile and Remi’s brown, black and red. The skull ribbon comes in different colors, which are coordinated with each hair color. The un-naturals are Poppet’s Watermelon, Darker Purple and Aquamarine with Alfredaskew’s Undine edited.

A gift I made for @lamare-sims 😊 There's a few options for this out there already, but we agreed there was room for improvement so here is my take on a slot blocker object.

Found in general/misc, it costs nothing, and it does what it says on the tin. It sits in slots, to take up that space in situations where you perhaps wanted to rotate the object (shameless self-plug) or you had to use an OMSP to avoid clipping so that a slot visually looks filled but functionally isn't.

What Lamare wanted specifically was for this slot blocker to not prevent you from clicking on objects underneath it. So that's what I did! 😁 In live mode the object goes invisible automatically, and shrinks to the size of a speck of dust so that you have full clicking access to whatever may be overlapping :3 When you return to buy mode, it'll return to regular size and texture so that you can remove it if you want to. You can also recolor it invisible manually, if you prefer, it'll then remain invisible whether in live or buy/build.

Lots of new retro electronics that fits quite nicely with the early 2000s Sims 2 content. Here are 6 items from the Cuckoo's Retro Vibes set. The console was a real challenge to convert, but I think I got it right 🎮 ✨

You can find the original Sims 4 set here, by Cuckoo. A collection file is included in the download for convenience. It’s also low poly and basegame compatible (plus a FT+ version for the computer).

This is a 4to2 conversion from Somik&Severinka, low poly. They are grilled food recipes available at lunch and dinner time (you need a grill to cook them). Invisible plate is required and included.

🦄 As some of you know, to continue with my conversion project, I need to completely rebuild my Downloads folder. I therefore had to dive into the endless choices of default replacements, but I realized I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a range of pet eyes that would be compatible with the human ones 🐱

🐈 Your have options to choose from : the Pet clarity Eyes with or without fur coats replacements. Even though the replacement for the default eyes is included in the default fur textures, I still recommend downloading both files. This is because the default eye replacement file contains a @simnopke's Pet Left Eye Fix, but applying the eye textures to the default fur textures allows the eyes of pre-existing pets to be replaced by default as well 🐕

👀 I recommend you to get, the PET EYE FIX by @kitteninthewindow. It's a fix that allows your puppys and kitten to show your default replacement eyes. Especially if you only want the default eyes, without the furs.

🌈 I made some custom eyes too, like the blind and the alien ones. Their file work for both Cats and Dogs (no pupils). Dogs have additional pink and teal colors, cats have additionnal red, purple, pink and teal colors. Maybe I'll edit some more later, but it's quite enough to work with for now.

🐩 I used @kitteninthewindow's pooklet default replacement fur (from magical_girl_sandbox) as a base for the natural fur replacement's colors. Some colors were left as they were, others were edited to get closer to the Maxis ones. All unaturals Maxis replacement have been completely remade from the Maxis files. The pooklet ones were way to saturated for me, and I prefer keeping them as customs only. I made a list of the pooklet ones I used in the files, if you wanna keep some as customs too 🎨
