Have you ever wanted some utilities to make your houses look more realistic? Well, I really did, so I converted SIXAM's Home Improvements set; it's 49 objects in total! 🛠️ You'll have lots of things to decorate your basements, garages, bathrooms or backyards. I tried to make as many objects functional as I could, and kept a deco version too, so you can pick and choose.
This was a massive undertaking, took me MONTHS, but I'm glad I did it, and boy am I glad to be done with it too 😅

Onto the technicals. There's a lot of info, but the most important is in the blockquote below. Everything you need should be included in the folder.
⚠️ You'll need Midge's Custom Alarm for the Burglar Alarm to work, which I included in the download. You'll also need to keep the craftable objects for the Workbench in your download folder.
You can have every Deco and Functional object in your game at the same time ‼️ You can pick and choose what you want.
💧 The Water Pipe Large is repo'd to the Thin one and the Gas Pipe Horizontal is repo'd to the Vertical one. The Drain 02 is repo'd to Drain 01.
There's a working Faucet I cloned from this one by @jacky93sims (you can't wash babies with it). The AC Split & AC Mini Split 💨💨 are also cloned from her Air Conditioner and are repo'd to each other. They're based on Simlogical Air Conditioning, which regulates a room's temperature. You can read the details here.
The Tank Water heater & Tankless Heater are cloned from @lordcrumps' For Rent conversion here. They should act like solar panels ☀️ and take money off your bills, like his do.
🛠️ The Workbench is cloned from @deedee-sims' functional Woodworking Bench. I've included her craftable objects in the folder, you'll need them for the Workbench to work.
I modified the Workbench Table to work as a Computer Desk, and shortened the Stool so it could be sat upon. Both work well together.
Finding the correct category for each item was driving me insane. If you want to change the category, I recommend using Pick'N'Mix Object Relocator. It's very easy to use! If you load the objects first in-game, you'll get previews to help you sort them out in the relocator.

A few things to add ! The Computer comes in 2 versions, one that's basegame to pre-FreeTime, and one for FreeTime and up. ⚠️ You can't have both in your game!

There's 2 versions of the Simtendo, a deco version and a functioning one. You can have both in game at the same time ! 🕹️ The one shown in the pictures above is the deco version. The functioning one looks identical, just without the controller wire.

🧸📺 Following a request from anon, here are the remaining objects from atticwindowatdawn's Wistful Spaces set (11 objects). Decat previously converted part of the set here ⭐ and I completed what was left, namely the TV, the surfaces, one seating box and a lovely Teddy.

🧸 Atticwindowatdawn's items are very detailed in general and a big challenge for polycount reduction while keeping the object intact, which is why it took me so much time! For example, the TV went from 10,000 to 2,500 polygons... It's still low poly, but a bit higher than standard. 📺💙
Most surfaces have lots of slots! I joined a picture to show all the possibilities.
📦 I redid two of Decat items! First, the Forgotten Laundry, because I wanted a version of the basket with nothing in it. It's repo'd and has 1 slot. The other is the Dish It Out Bucket, because there was some light reflection problem when placed outdoors. They don't replace Decat's item, so you can choose which you prefer !
The Artist's Dresser has 2 versions, one is purely deco and one is a functioning dresser 🎨 You can have both in your game, or the one you prefer, as they are not repo'd.
I managed to make some groundshadow for all objects! Bit of fiddling around but I'm getting much better at mapping.

Are your items Sims 2 Super Collection compatible for Mac? I downloaded a lot of your cc and when I removed all of it, my game stopped crashing
Hey, I'll try to help you 💕
So my CC should be fully compatible with Super Collection on Mac. There should be no difference between PC and Mac version of the files. I am also on Mac, but I run the legacy version on crossover, so I have not tested it.
First, if you could narrow it down, it would help a lot. Maybe I missed something and there is an item that wouldn't work in your game since the Mac version is missing the later expansions. If that's the case, and you can tell me at least which set, I could try to fix it or make it compatible for you;;;
That said, that sounds a LOT like the Mac open file limit issue. It's an issue where, if you have around 10 000 files or more in your download folder, the game starts crashing, regardless of what CC you add. I have that issue too, and it's easy to solve! Just follow the tutorial here. I use the temporary fix personally, and often forget to set it up after rebooting. Then I go into panic mode because my game keeps crashing until I remember 😅
If it's not that, and you can pinpoint which files don't work for you, again, don't hesitate to ask (or message me) so I can fix them!

Here is the 21 items from the set, including the extra TV and Stand. I did a lot of extra work on this one; I added a ton of new recolors for all 3 plushies, the hanging macramé and the sofa/loveseat/armchair too. I also cleaned up the rugs and the stickers edges so they have no white outlines and look smooth in game (check the pictures!) 🌺 It's a really cute set and I wanted it to be as versatile as possible

Onto the details 💕
The Armchair and the Sofa are repo'd to the Loveseat. These have dual subsets so you can mix and match. I added 10 solid colors for the fabric subset for more variety! I noticed the shadow on the loveseat fabric doesn't align with the frame. This comes from the original object. I'll update the file if it gets fixed.
The End Table is repo'd to the Hallway Table 🐞 I converted the Watercan, but had to drop the plant version. As much as I tried, it just didn't look good in game and the polycount didn't justify it either.
I added 19 new recolors to the Hanging Macramé and cleaned up the edges as best as I could to make it appear smoother. I also added 15 matching recolors to the Leaf/Leaf Buddie Plushie and 25 recolors to the Frog Plushie 🐸
Aside from that, I cleaned up the texture of the stickers and the rugs, to make the edges all smooth and remove as much of the white-ish outline, specks and artifacts as I could 🦋 You can see what it looks like below, I added pictures to showcase the result!

The right pillow is repo'd to the left one. The centerpiece fruits are repo'd to the plate version, and the pancakes are repo'd together (syrup version is the master).
I put a lot of those items in the Appliance -> Misc category, because my Deco one is getting cramped. If you want to change the category, I recommand using Pick'N'Mix Object Relocator. Very easy to use!

Here are some notes on each item 🧹📦
You first have the Ye Old Tapestry which has 100 swatches ✨ I included the original gif with all the designs in the zip so you can check them out. The mesh is a Sims 4 Vampires EP mesh that was already converted, but since there are so many swatches, I thought it was better to have it as a separate download.
The Indigo Office Chair was very high poly originally, and I managed to reduce it quite a bit.
The iMac is a functional computer with an animated mouse! There's a Free Time version and a basegame version included, please only pick one ⚠️
The functional Kitchen of Tomorrow Toaster was already converted before as a deco item, but I made it functional 🍞💫 by cloning @jacky93sims' Bree Toaster. It's a new object, so there should be no conflict with other deco versions. It has an invisible swatch for the bread if you want them out of the picture. If you don't have her original toaster, you need to keep the recipe file (included) in your download folder for it to work‼️

It took a while because I was intimidated by the two Pergola Swing Chairs, breezed through them... and then somehow spent all my time on the Wooden Wine Rack/Bottle/Module. Story of my life. But who cares! Whole set it done!

I couldn't repo the Pergola Swing Benches together because the texture didn't match, but the Cushions are repo'd to the Loveseat. There is also an extra set of cushions that turned out to use the exact same mesh as my Forest Friends Floor Cushions 🍃 (here), so I added recolors to that existing mesh rather than duplicating it. The mesh is included if you don't have it.
The Fire Bowl took me a while to figure out. Without getting too technical, I didn't want to clone the Maxis campfire because its a really heavy object with a lot of resources attached to it, and I wanted to keep things lighter. I tried to turn it into a fireplace first, then I went with Jacky93Sims' way and cloned Honeywell's one 🔥🔥 I replaced her skewer fork with the game's wooden stick. You need to keep that file in your download folded to roast marshmallows. If you also uses the skewer for other Firepits, there should be no conflict. Credit to both Jacky and Honeywell.
I cloned the lamp from the Grange Mudroom set by LordCrumps, so credits to him as well.

I spent 15 years missing Sims 2 when I made the switch from PC to Mac; there is no other Sims game that really does it for me. Super happy to have finally gotten around to making it work, and then wow, being able to make content/conversion for it.
