I wanna write some more about that moment with seb giving ferrari hell for not including kimi's name in the celebration pic thingy despite him getting p-FUCKING-3
Because IMAGINE. IMAGINE BEING EITHER OF THEM. KIMI ESPECIALLY.
He'd finished on the podium, something that had been evading him the previous season. And sure, it could have been even better, but one of the guys in front of him is seb, and he can live with p3 and his teammate in p1, certainly. They're about to take those dumb celebration photos and frankly he would rather be in his hotel room sleeping or celebrating with people he actually wants to celebrate with or really doing anything other than having his picture taken but it has been a rather good day for ferrari and a couple of pics of him and seb holding the pit board isn't even in the top 50 most annoying things they could have him doing. He grabs the thing without even really looking at it but his teammate snatches it and starts ranting at the crew- because they didn't put kimi on there. A podium, scored by the man that is (TO THIS VERY DAY) their last world champion, and they forgot to put his name on the pit board. Kimi didn't care much but it was objectively quite shitty of them. While the pit board itself was pretty much meaningless, seb refusing to take the pictures until they fixed their mistake...wasn't. Later, at the press conference, perhaps in a way expressing gratitude, kimi would, in a rather clumsy manner, say just that- that he will gladly take p3 and not have any issue with the german being the race winner, as long as they're teammates. Because who else would even care enough to look at the pit board, let alone take the time to make the crew correct it? And to think that he'd been considering leaving, before. Well, most of this damned sport is bullshit, the media, the teams, some tracks, sometimes (for him, often) the car- but at least one thing isn't. Kimi is and has always been quite unlucky for a formula one driver, but he's quite sure that no other driver has what he has- not even close. Most teammates range between work friends and two guys that legit might kill each other, but not them. And, he figures, that will be one of the things that he gets to keep after he eventually retiers- the world title with ferrari, the fun stories, and a genuinely good friend that is more than willing to stick up for him. That is more than many other drivers can claim to have.
He won! With ferrari, no less, and with his teammate in p3, no less! He'd always enjoyed sharing podiums with kimi- and now he's more so allowed to. Not that all drivers want their teammates to succeed- but seb sure does! Not only because that's his friend, but also, and this is the part that confuses him about other drivers wishing dnfs on their teammates- they both need to do well to get the constructors championship. Seb remembers when people didn't cheer for him when he was on the top step of the podium, back when he was winning race after race. He remembers how, once, when he shared the podium with kimi, the finn's fans were booing at him, and how their own goddamn favorite driver shot them a look that could kill. Maybe that's why he likes being on the podium with kimi. But, as they were about to take the celebration pics with the pit board, right before sitting down- sebastian noticed something wrong with it- no, something missing from it- kimi. His name, his podium, his accomplishment, the points he got for the team. He didn’t seem to care, or really even notice, but seb wasn't about to let them get away with that. He tried not to yell. He waited for them to add kimi on there. Then, they finally took the pictures. At some point he realized that he never could have let them treat his friend like that. Not after kimi had been, many times, the only one in his corner, when formula 1 itself seemed to ignore- in his first few races- or even hate him, later, for his success. Plus, he wants the team to be as good as it can be- and a good team doesn't do that... And maybe, just maybe, he wants kimi to know that he doesn't agree with all those fuckers that say that he's washed- he isn't. Saying it in an interview is one thing, drivers lie through their teeth- he doesn't, not much. Kimi doesn't, he is to pr training as a cat is to animal training. Still, even if people, maybe even the finn himself, may think he's at the very least exaggerating, he will keep saying it in interviews. At least until ferrari listens!
I visited the Yas Marina Circuit today and what in the ever loving yaoi fuck is the size difference between Seb and Kimi's hands?!??
I went to the "Wall of Fame" to see how my hands compared to the drivers on the wall...
All 3 of Seb's handprints were the same and his hands are the same size as mine.
Kimi's handprints on the other side were bigger, his fingers were longer and his hands were wider.

He makes the final turn to find two figures waiting for him outside the door. Well not waiting for him, Kimi revises as he recognizances the contrasting dark and light hair of Lewis and Nico. The blonde was sat with his back against the wall next to the door while the brunette was still standing, his foot tapping impatiently. Both of them notice Kimi before he can slip into the room. "Where the fuck have you been." Nico says, getting to his feet so he can say it to Kimi's face.
