The Sour Legacy Challenge

Did I make a legacy challenge based on Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour? Yes, I did.

Am I going to be posting my gameplay of it on my blog? Yes I am.

The overall guidelines are pretty loose here. Obviously there’s a lot to accomplish each generation, but I tried to make it so there is plenty of room for freedom too. And if you’re not feeling an aspiration or have a career you’ve been meaning to try - go ahead and switch it up if you think it makes sense! Just try to pick something that isn’t already in the challenge.

Go as wild as you desire with mods and lifespans and the like. Feel free to make this your own (just don’t repost this as your own, yah feel?).

Xan here! What started as me trying to figure out a mesh turned into…this. I’m sure someone else has written guides on the topic, but I couldn’t find them, so I put this together. I made it mostly for my own reference–I keep forgetting which tags to use–but I thought I’d share in case anyone else might find it useful. (Requires: Sims 4 Studio)

1. I’ve been learning some new editing tricks regarding sound, so hopefully my videos will start getting better quality. And I plan on leaning more things, if I have the time. 2. No actual hair cutting footage. No animations like it available, and animating them myself is not an option. So, just imagine all of them getting their hair cut/dyed/etc. 3. Editor’s Notes:

1. Huge thanks to @simsexpo​ for surprising me with this incredible build. Originally it wasn’t an indoor pool, but I couldn’t let it go to waste, and I won’t be freezing these sims to get a cool pool shot, so I made some changes. I hope you don’t mind! Other than that, I kept it as is and it is awesome.

2.  I planned a few more scenes, but it was getting long and I was getting frustrated. Making people chat while following a script? Harder than you’d think. Man, wish I could use poses. Anyway, this will continue on the next part. Also, those indoor shots, not easy to make. Took some work. This was probably my most ambitious video ever, that’s why it took so long to finish. And I’m not even sure it was worth all the work, but it does look good.
