If I was a cyberpunk 2077 dev, I'd definitely want to add more to Johnny's memories.

I think so much of the horror of the game boils down to the lack of autonomy. That V is their own character... up until they start hearing Johnny's voice in their ear. And then their morality becomes his, one conversation at a time.

Yes, Night City is a place that is defined by the company you keep (we see this theme in the prologue with Jackie especially), but it's also a place in which you get little to no say in who's company you keep, not if you want to survive. It's a story that's constantly putting survival over autonomy, in ways that force the player to combat with their own morality and what it means to make humane decisions in the face of the inhuman.

Even beyond this, there's some hints towards Johnny's memories being inaccurate. I think there could be so much development with what Johnny 'remembers' and what actually happened, especially with Kerry and Rogue's presence in the questlines. Getting to understand what Johnny THINKS is his past, and what actually is. Maybe some discussion of Johnny's engram absorbing internet rumours about Silverhand, like how genAI pulls from Reddit, ynow?
