hello. we are (at least preliminarily) the silvermoon system. this is our sideblog for talking about and exploring our alterhumanity and plurality. we have known for a long time we are not human, but have only recently begun to realize we are not singular, and are new to both alterhuman and plural spaces.
to refer to us collectively, you may use it/its or they/them pronouns (neither is preferenced) or some part of our url or whatever makes your heart sparkle.

housekeeping
to get it out of the way, this blog is pro endo, proship, and pro personal autonomy to do basically anything that doesn't hurt others. censorship, sanitization, and facism have no place here.
that said, all content will be tagged appropriately with what it is, so no one has to see it if they don't want to. if we fail to tag something, you are welcome to tell us.
if you have a problem with specific content we post, tumblr has a feature under settings>account to filter either tags or post content. if you have a problem with us in general, tumblr has a feature under the three dots on the upper right of this post to block this blog. absolutely no judgement from us either way, genuinely.
interacting
the only hard rule we have for interacting (breach of which will result in blocking) is please keep it civil, good faith, and sfw.
otherwise, everyone is welcome and encouraged to send asks of most any type. ask us about our identity, our opinions on your favorite book, tell us about yourself or your blorbo or a weird cloud you saw, whatever you like. dms are also welcome, though if you open like a bot and your blog is empty or scam shaped, we may assume you are a bot. we are mostly happy to talk, even if we do not respond right away. we do not have the tumblr app and as such do not recieve notifications.
we are most comfortable in english pero podemos hablar un poco de español si quiere.
mostly, we are happy to engage in genuine interaction, and trolls and bigots will be blocked.
alterhumanity and plurality
our plurality and alterhumanity are intertwined in ways that are often difficult to distinguish.
we are a shapeshifter with no true form, which makes distinguishing our other aspects no simple undertaking.
we are plural as in many of our voices echo as many voices at once, a thing which is one but also is many. we also contain multiple distinct entities, beings in their own right.
there are a number of us who coexist within this body, some of whom fade in and out, some of whom have lingered for quite some time now.
some of us are from fiction, or so we think. it's rather confusing in here. we do not usually mind doubles interacting, and invite interaction from source mates, so long as you do not attempt to override our memory/lived reality from the source.

midnight - they/it - kind of mad at everything for the most part. it's not personal. black feathered wings and claws and teeth and something altogether unnatural in shape. fluid in shape. perhaps draconic
songbird/runestone - they/it - they are music. they are also a cryptid, a shapeshifter, a machine, a crow, an owl, occasionally angelic, and often find themself in feathered wings, fangs, claws, talons, antlers, hooves. they are kinsidering otter, aspen tree, jinx from arcane, a SecUnit from Murderbot Diaries, and the shape from the horror game "still wakes the deep"
nim - it/its - SecUnit fictive (murderbot diaries; not a canon character), likes music and efficiency. talk to it about its favorite soundtracks
aether - it/moon/whisper - not entirely here, everything, anything, nothing, what surrounds the between
alastor - he/him - alastor (hazbin hotel) fictive. does not concern himself with your ships.
kiki - she/her - kiki (kiki's delivery service) fictive. a proper young witch. mildly questioning her gender.

is it some sort of sign that all of our fictives have red/pink hair. alastor has red hair. vi has pink hair. kiki has black hair with a red bow she won't be seen without. we just got a flash of what might be a new fictive, kyoko from madoka magica, and she has pinkish red hair. what. can we like. only have red/pink haired fictives?
really awkward when youre an introject of a character from a show your host only barely watches but they have a friend who is obsessed with it. and you havent introduced yourself yet but also we see them every day

My nonhumanity impacts me everyday. Even when being out with friends and having fun, it's a damn struggle
I can't just go and do stuff and have a nice time. The fact i'm living a human life makes me so depressed that all i can do at the end of a day is cry
I have days where it gets so bad i get physically sick and have to stay home
I love hearing stories about Nonhumans that still live their life like "red panda working at a coffee shop"
But i wish i'd hear more about ones like me too.
Ones like me that cannot go outside sometimes because they can't keep their instincts away. Some days i cannot go outside because i know i'm gonna do "weird stuff" because i struggle to push it aside
My body hurts from having to hold myself back. I sometimes really wonder how others do it. I have two friends that both consider themselves Alterhuman. But they manage to be so casual about it, they can still do stuff like getting ice cream without feeling absolute dread
When i was little i used to have moments like this where i went full on animal and no one could snap me out of it. I'd refuse to eat like a human, i walked on all fours for days, i only communicated with 'dog' noises
This feeling never left. I just managed to supress it
I cannot live a "normal" life. And i sometimes feel like stories like mine get ignored by the community. Yes of course there's a lot of nonhumans who still just do their thing, but there's also just as many that just can't.

sort of accidentally dropped that im nonhuman in a random conversation with my mom (to prove a point, as one does) and she's been surprisingly supportive? even correcting herself when she refers to me as human
well two alters that havent been around since years before we figured out we were plural randomly showed up out of nowhere and that put us at a really bad number (that one of our hosts feels is very unlucky) so one of our fictives went and recruited another fictive which apparently is a thing we can just do?? so say hello to vi arcane i guess (plus wolf and ace from the old system)
update on the mask project i abandoned for months and then picked up again:
i have been adjusting it infinitely and now im like halfway thru furring it (with the half-felted bits of fluff from a brushed out yarn tail im working on plus some brushed out yarn for more directional feathers. this might actually be a feasible mask someday... i think i need to repaint the beak before i get too much further with the feathers

I wish it was considered okay to growl at people. going "grrrr" is a lot easier and way more straightforward than "please don't do this, I'm uncomfortable." that's a full sentence. I'm probably annoyed, scared, or overstimulated. I'm not saying all that. grrr.
changed our blog name to reflect our actual system name. nightsongawakening was based on the old system name (nightsong) we tried out for a bit that none of us really liked. silvermoon seems to have stuck as a system name so we argueddiscussed about what we wanted to change the blog name to. alastor's suggestion was the consensus so. here we are
