• “This is the only way I’d want it: dying by your hand.”

• “This is the only way I’ll allow it: you dying by my hand.”

• “Maybe you don’t care if I hurt you, but I don’t want to hurt you. Not anymore.”

• “Do you think we could have been something else, in another life?”

• “At least I know there’ll always be someone out there who thinks of me.”

• “Perhaps I should let you go, so we can resume this chase of ours.”

• “I don’t want to negotiate with anyone else. I only want to speak with you.”

• “Hasn’t it all been such a waste?”

• “I’ll dog your heels for the rest of my life.”

• “We could have had something beautiful, but even this is enough for me.”
