also, I don't fucking care that right now the only exclusive features on the switch 2 port are basically horse armor. it is utterly unacceptable to be doing this shit in any context. and quite frankly adding any lore whatsoever that only exists in the Nintendo Approved™️ edition of the game should lead to somebody getting fired. and who knows, maybe a little while after tarnished edition drops we'll get a patch for normal elden ring that adds all that stuff in there too, though I highly fucking doubt it. but it feels like fromsoft is on a crazy slippery slope lately and I am not a fan

I get more recent videos in my recommended about dark souls 1 lore than nightreign lore. that strikes me as odd! is anybody even still playing that game? and I don't even know if the community has come to a consensus on whether to consider it canon to elden ring or not. I've certainly not heard its lore mentioned in elden ring theories outside of passing remarks, such as noting the black knife looks like heolstor. am I just in a weird bubble or did nightreign have zero staying power?
