can we get some rollator and walker appreciation 🗣️‼️ i see a lot of cane and crutch and wheelchair appreciation but where's the love for rollators and walkers ‼️‼️‼️

i'm going to a chabad shul tomorrow! i called ahead and they said they always welcome visitors :D will be my first time at an orthodox synagogue, i hope i won't be too lost lol. i'll update with how it goes!

it was rly neat!! i was worried i'd get lost during the service bc i heard orthodox shuls daven completely independently (i.e. not in unison) so i figured i'd fall very far behind but that was only true for a small segment. i was also worried about finding the women's section but it wasn't actually a separate floor/area or anything it was just one side of the room vs the other with no physical mechitzah. everyone was very kind and i'm glad i went :)

happy disability pride month to mean cripples, nasty addicts, people with down syndrome who arent nice and talk constant shit, wheelchair users that WILL run you over, autists that dont care and arent about to pretend to, people who lie to their psychiatrists, people that sit on the floor in public places with no benches, amputees that lie profusely about "what happened"; to the "noncompliant", the "drug seeking", the "mean", the "difficult" and the "undeserving", and so on and so forth, i love us all and we deserve the world actually mwah mwah

pride month is almost over I would just like to say happy pride to boring LGBTQ people in particular. everyone expects us to be brilliant creatives and scientists and interior decorators and quirky professors and tortured artists but some of us wear nothing but Kirkland Signature clothing and watch Friends and The Office and are incapable of having an interesting conversation and that is okay. our diversity is our strength.

talking to a very boring LGBTQ person once in a while is so refreshing, you’re like “Whoa! You’re so average and normal! You’re like a coworker at an office job! The only thing we have in common is our LGBTQ identity and that is beautiful!”

As annoying as the "autism is when you really like vocaloid, yippee!" cutesy-ification of autism over social media is, I don't think it will ever be as harmful to autistic people as the people who use faker accusations to pressure undiagnosed or self-diagnosed autistic people into getting a formal diagnosis in the current political climate.
