giovannis mean and he has very Not Good tendencies, but hes also very obviously shown to be capable of changing and growing. bad people are capable of change and growth as a result of life experiences and the people around them. would flaming sail work as a happy nuclear relationship? no, definitely not. and i dont fuck with dulling either of their characters to make it work.

but i also dont fw the idea that bucky is the good guy and giovanni is the bad guy in every scenario. they both have toxic traits that wouldn't blend well, but the fact that giovanni's existence hinges on bucky's is something worth exploring. bucky has flaws too. bucky is capable of fucking up too, just not in the same ways as giovanni. doesnt make either of them exempt.
