Hi! Welcome to my blog! This blog, since 2009, has always been the collage of me - the fandoms, the happy, the politics, the sad, the angry, and everything in between - and it remains so today.
Today it is mostly politics; it has been a while since a fandom has tickled my fancy. I miss my fandoms but nothing has hit that sweet spot since Ted Lasso, and also, I feel compelled to use every resource I have to speak up - that includes this blog. August 4, 2026 - The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) has revealed Irish fans won’t be permitted to attend the Republic of Ireland’s Nations League games against Israel in September and October.
The Israeli FA has said “a small allocation” of Israeli supporters will be accommodated at their ‘home’ leg game in Debrecen, Hungary on Sunday, September 27th.
A statement from the FAI on Tuesday read: “The Football Association of Ireland confirms that it will not facilitate in-stadium access to Ireland supporters for either of its Uefa Nations League fixtures with Israel."
Ireland’s ‘home’ tie will be played behind closed doors in Bačka Topola, Serbia on Sunday, October 4th, with security concerns cited as the reason for moving the game outside of Ireland. Uefa has yet to confirm whether Irish media will be allowed to cover the fixture in the stadium.

I recently went through CPR training once more and the thing they always try to remind us is that the CPR alone cannot save the life of that person; they still need to go to the hospital. All it does is keep the blood pumping.
And I think about that concept in a wider scope a lot, like how I alone cannot save all the people of Gaza. It also has some really, really ugly immigrant stereotype stories mixed in with these cutsie stories. It's all about stroking American egos while assuring you that all the other lesser nationalities are in awe of American culture.
Look at this tumblr post which screenshot several of this account's extremely racist, cruel, right wing, and anti-immigrant posts that are 100% aimed at American and British white people. TW derogatory dismissal of rape and trafficking, intense racism, anti-trans insults, pro-guns, and lots of cloying sucking up to right wing ideology. Sure you get the occasional funny "westerners are so great, they have chips and trucks!" story told with big adoring eyes like this one. But they are tucked in among turds like "Elon Musk actually gets things done" and "why doesn't Japan have more guns like americans, they are so much smarter and safer than us" ("us," hah, the guy prompting this AI slop has so clearly never been to Japan. But then, neither has chatgpt, so).
You've got to ignore and block these right wing grifter AI accounts trying to charm you by sucking up to you. They want engagement so the right wing newspapers can claim they are what 'everyone thinks.'
Sometimes I look at what our lives have become, and I cannot comprehend everything we have lost. The home that once brought our family together is gone, our shop that provided us with an income is gone as well, and displacement has taken away our last sense of safety. Today, I watch my father suffer before my eyes while I am unable to afford his treatment, and I have been forced to rely on donations to support my family and keep going
My father suffers from a herniated disc and severe back pain, and he needs surgery that costs around €1,500. It hurts to watch him suffer every day knowing that treatment is available, but we simply cannot afford it. Since June 22, we have raised only €251 out of €1,500, leaving €1,249 still needed. More than a month has passed while I have been asking for help for my father, watching him endure his pain day after day as the amount we raise increases very slowly. My name is Najah, and I am a mother of six children, including newborn twins 👶👶 who need urgent care every single moment.
We are living through extremely difficult days filled with fear, hunger, and the lack of basic necessities 🥺🍞
Sometimes my children go to sleep without enough food, and I stand helpless before their tears because I cannot provide milk, diapers, or medicine for them.
My newborn twins are still so fragile, and their tiny bodies need constant nutrition and care 🍼💔
But our situation has become far beyond my ability to handle, while my other children face hunger, cold, and fear every day.
