"Just quit/uninstall/ect" is not helpful advice. Like any other addiction, it is not that easy and many may not be in a safe, stable, or good place to take that step.

"You're part of the problem/killing the environment/your creativity/your mental health/ect" is not helpful OR advice. Like any other addiction, most know it's not good and feel shame. Attacking them for being open about their struggles not only discourages others from seeking support, but may push them further into addiction.

"But it was easy for me!" Your experience is not universal. Congratulations on breaking away, but many aren't able to as easily, especially those it was designed to prey on.

If all you do towards beings who have fallen victim to a predatory and manipulative new Era of technology and algorithm is be hateful, blameful, and gloatful, you are actively making things worse.

i frankly dont care whether its true that cyrus carmack belton did steal the water bottle or not. he didnt but again idc because if he did steal some water, that does not justify chasing a 14 year old boy down with ur older son and later shooting him in the back. that teenager’s life was not worth less than a bottle of fucking water. cyrus deserved better and hearing the video of his mom talk about how ppl have been avalanching her with racist messages and convincing her her son deserved this. these lines in the video in particular spoke to me though

same situation happened with a young girl named latasha harlins who was shot because a store owner believed she had stolen some orange juice. another life taken over some cheap fucking drinks. (well we know it was never about the damn drinks it was just an excuse to use racial violence)

History repeats itself if we don’t take the steps to change the systems that cause it. We need to get angry. We need to be in the streets. We need to be just as angry as if it were our own children dead because no child deserves to die like this.

Is any kid’s life, their blood on your hands, worth a couple of dollars of drinks?
