RIP Rod Temperton! Had my funk/disco epithany listening to this record. Amazing legacy of funky tunage from the man from Lincolnshire! 

Great to see this get a re-release this year! 

I’m not sure if we’ll ever get another Five Corners Quintet album, given that the last studio album came out 7 years ago, but we can always revisit! The devil kicks. 

Summer’s gone here and although the sun is shining, Autumn is coming in fast. Catch some Bossa Nova while you still can... 

Put on ‘Time to Rearrange’ by Aaron Jerome the other day for a nostaliga trip and then remembered that I hadn’t listened to sbtrkt for a long while. New Dorp, New York is like an underground Uptown Funk.

Hank Mobley - Snappin' Out 

'Other Sounds' is one of those albums, with the first two tracks being those above. The final track on the first half of the LP is then a hard-bop style piece, just to throw you again. But everything hangs together so well, there's no feeling of disorientation!
