“I don’t know where he’s gone..” Mika whined and sat down gripping her hair. “Either of them.” She looked at Bucky sadly. “Go find my brother please..I’m gonna stay here and keep looking. Maybe he’s just being clever… and anreally good hider..”

Mika had already ripped up the apartment she was hiding at, everything was turned over and out of place. As if a hurricane had blown through. “It was them.. they finally caught up to me..” Mika paced frantically. “I told you I couldn’t stay in one spot for long or they’ll find me.” She then turned to Bucky. “Hunters have him Bucky. Your people. I know it, where else could he have gone?”

“Whoa whoa, you can’t assume these things, Mika, I’d have heard it called in if it was the case” He said lowly, trying his best to calm her “You need to call Pietro” He added “To see if he has him, alright? I’ll do my own digging too...You need to stay calm, you destroy things when you get upset.”

“I just fell asleep..” Mika panicked now beginning to pace. “I fell asleep and he was right next to me, and now he’s gone I looked everywhere!” She shouted and gripped her hair tightly.

“He can’t be far....” Bucky said, his expression not changing due to his emotional trauma from his conditioning, but inside he did feel the pit of despair that filled with worry for their son. “And your brother, has he seen him?”

“Where is he, where is my son?!” Mika screamed sobbing out, her eyes blistering red and her hands pulsating bright red strings of magic.

The hunter widened his eyes and held up his hands, backing up “Why would I take him?” He asked in his low tone “He’s my son too, I want him safe with his mother...”

Mika looked down at her hands and shrugged softly. “I just.. miss you.” She whispered gently and bit her lip. “Pietro is getting bigger. I’m sure he’ll start speaking soon.” She said gently with a warm smile.

“What is there to miss of me, exactly?” Bucky sighed, even he knew that he hadn’t been exactly reliable. “I’ve been watching him, definitely has your eyes.” He then admitted “He’s a bright thing”

Mika nodded softly. “I understand.” She said softly and folded her arms across her chest and swallowed. Silent for a moment, then asked, “Are you going to stay tonight?” She wondered a little hopeful that he would.

Bucky took a breath and considered her words for a moment, knowing Evie probably had something else for him “I don’t know, in reality I would like to” He said in his unreadable tone. “You look hopeful” he then added.

Mika looked up at Bucky and smiled, enjoying that he was speaking more. “And you took care of it?” She wondered turning so she was completely facing the soldier and slowly walked towards him. “I haven’t seen you in a while.” Mika said quietly.

“I never miss, Mika...So of course.” Bucky said simply and now crouched down, looking at her as he perched on an air vent. “I’ve been on some missions, It’s better to just go along with Evie, if I do she doesn’t recondition me and reset my mind”

Mika gasped when she heard a voice. She usually escaped to the the abandoned green house a few buildings over, that was on top of a roof. Her brother was sleeping soundly with her son, so she had time to think. “You startled me.” Mika said holding her chest and gave a soft smile. “You are making your rounds?”

The normally silent soldier slowly approached and dropped his weapon to the floor, climbing over the roof so that he could be closer to Mika, he removed his mask and set that down too. “Orders from above...Some vampires were on the move, they needed to be taken out discreetly.” He said simply. 

“And you know what will happen when you don’t follow orders.” She warned. “I’ll put you back in the chair.” She said quietly and narrowed ehr eyes. “Now go on. Don’t waste time.”

Bucky stood over Evie, almost too close to her, his fingers twitching. It almost seemed too easy to just snap that neck of hers. The man almost hesitated before he turned to leave. Camilla looked to Evie “I don’t like how he was looking at you.”

“He’s a good boy.” Evie said softly tapping her fingers on her desk slowly. She leaned forward staring at Bucky. “Follows orders without another fuss. Without hesitation.” She said softly and then stood up. “Bucky. Darling. Your only task right now.. is to find the Carter’s and kill them. And anyone that gets in your way. Do you understand?”

Mika back off when she was growled at, and looked to the ground sighed gently before folding her arms across her chest. “I’m sorry.” She said quietly.

“Bucky..” Mika whimpered when he turned away and walked towards him, feeling empty when he didn’t look at her, like she was already in love with him so hard. “I will understand if you let me..”

“Bucky please…”Mika whined and closed her eyes as he held her. “Is there anyway we can pull you away from her?”
