âRight! You did raise them, didnâtâcha? Dang, three kids⌠Or⌠Not kids, but⌠Yâknow what I mean, yeah? Sounds like a headache if you ask me. I mean, how would their terrible twosâa been? Temporal tantrums and universe-wide disturbances over a time out or summitâ like that.â
Jirachi didnât bother holding his tongue or speaking more properly about the likes of Dialga or Palkia - as far as he saw it they had to be the same as everyone else, at least on some level. He could assume that much without having ever met them. If Arceus herself fit the bill then why wouldnât they? Still, the idea of having to deal with a triad of troublemakers pulling the strings to the universe sounded like a royal headache. Anyone who could deal with the likes of it had to be some sort of saint. Or did they just appear as fully-grown, fully-capable whatever-they-were-s?
âIzzat right? I ainât worried about you âsmitinââ me or nothing - not expecting it, anyhow. If it comes then whatever, Iâve lived long enough. The offer of sweets, though, now thatâs something. You got a good head on your shoulders there, doc.â
He flashed his usual toothy grin - always asymmetrical, always uneven, as though the very muscles that made up his face refused to allude to anything other than childlike mischief for even a fraction of a second - and rubbed his gloved hands together as if heâd just broken into Fort Knox. A fancy archeological site, books on astronomy and the promise of sweets? Oh, he would be back. Again. And again. And again. If she didnât watch herself Arceus would have a one-man infestation at this rate.
"But yeah! That sounds like loadsâa fun! Not like Iâve got any friends or family ta entertain me. Mostâa the time I just mess with whatever humans I find. Itâd be snazzy ta just hang out with somebody for once.â
âThen sitting around here is doing us no good, yes? As they say, suppose time is indeed of the essence.âÂ
Well, to most. Not to her. Time was expendable when you had nothing but. She was the very definition of immortality. Everyone else around her could crumble and fade into nothingness, but she would remain. It was a scary thought. The reason the world existed was because she had been born into nothingness and had experienced loneliness. A terrible feeling, really. To date she hated it the most.
The white haired woman stood herself up, and cast a smile to Jirachi as she did so. Hopefully he was not adverse to travelling through a small rift in space. As Arceus, she had access to everything. Including the moves belonging to the deities of time and space. After all, these were things she had designated to them. Things she had originally. Easing the work load to make a working universe.Â
âI do not assume you are opposed to a quick rift travel? It is the fastest and easiest way to reach the palace. Not to mention I can drop us right at the front doors, just inside the front doors, or anywhere really. But I might think on the first visit, appearing outside the doors is the best way of doing it. If you have a penchant for the dramatic, anyway.â
A light laugh passed her. The opening of the front doors was always a grand appeal. They always opened slowly, due to their weight, revealing the pristine white and gold hall that marked the entrance. Sheâd be lying if she said she didnât enjoy the amazement it left on most faces when they first saw it.
